When Rocky and Grace create the collector on Tau-Ceti-E to grab the predator for the Astrophage, why couldn't they just deploy it, then rise back up into space without the whole atmospheric shenanigans? Like... just... why?

Or even for Rocky to create some sort of way to control the spaceship while Grace was out? We see that it can use some sort of contraption glass thingy to have finer control, why not build something that could control the space stick?

EDIT: So apparently because the chain would've melted from the spin drives. Makes sense, yeah. Thanks everyone!

Edit2: Question2: why not deploy the chain from the ship hatch then, so they could pull it back way easier? :/

Cum este LEGAL ca unii sefuletzi de partid sa ceara si sa impuna ca acest vot anonim si secret sa NU mai fie nici anonim, nici secret? Nu este o forma de constrangere?
