Got lumps from Juvederm and am nervous to try Radiesse because of it
Hi all -
I was trying to fix up my nasolabial folds/jowls and went to a derm to get fillers.
First I got Juvederm in my cheeks and it looked/looks great, so I went back the next day and, on doc's advice, got it in nasolabial folds as well (i know i know - NOW - you're not supposed to inject there) and sure enough - it looked bonkers...got the "worms", they wouldn't go away - and then over the following month they just got harder and lumpier.
I had the first dissolving appt this week and I *think* it's getting better - hard to tell but it's only been 2 days. The people there (this is a new doctor btw) said I should consider Radiesse to my outer face to fix up my jowling/nasolabials that way - which I have done research on and it seems to be the right move.
So my question is - if I got that lumpy from Juvederm, is it a mistake to even go near Radiesse? Or was this just a bad injector the first time?
