Looking for some real honest opinions.

I’m 24, based in NYC, currently in school for finance. I’ve spent the last 10 years in hospitality and I’m ready for a change. I’ve been researching finance careers and planning to rule out investment banking, 100 hour weeks aren’t realistic for me.

Something with good pay with growth potential, decent work hours, if I can travel to for work that would be cool.

I’ve been looking at commercial banking, private banking, financial advisory consulting, and FP&A.

For anyone who works in these fields what do you actually wish you knew before starting?

I’m interested in interracial dating and have gone on plenty of dates, but a lot of them haven’t worked out either the guy wasn’t looking for anything serious, or ended up moving away.

I’m pretty easygoing, love to laugh, and I’m told I’m fun to be around once I get comfortable. I get plenty of eye contact and interest when I’m out, but very few people actually approach.
