Why do we need autopsy to diagnose FFI? Can't we tell if a patient suffers from it by just the symtoms and the presence of prions? It has very specific symtoms

How can I stop be scared of sFI? As soon as I heard about this desease I thought I had it, and the fact that I already couldn't sleep made my fear even worse, I know that I probably don't have it, but now I genuinely think I'm showing up symptoms, I'm I really gonna die from this or am I just overthinking it?
