Scans

Hello , I posted a while ago (3-4weeks) about TTC and the post was removed as it wasn’t the right sub
Guess who’s now pregnant and panicking? Meeee

To recap

30 y/o FTM type 2 diabetic - not well controlled overnight, but good during the day

I’ve been testing positive since 8/9 days after ovulation and my period is now 3 days late
I’ve got the mild cramping and am terrified I’ll miscarry

I’ve sent the referral. Spoke with GP who’ve also chased the referral

Just want to know if I should have a 6 week private scan to ensure everything is okay?
I feel like with my health I don’t want to get excited until I have a scan and all is okay

I will be 6weeks since last menstrual period on 31st
Thank you

CGM

Hi all

I wear a libre 2 plus sensor - self funded as I’m in the UK and can’t get it on the NHS

Just found out I’m pregnant and blood sugars are now critical to health of baby

I started a new CGM today but had a bit of bleeding

It’s giving readings, still slightly painful to touch

However the reading is 3mmol/L off from the finger prick test on the same arm

Tested twice

What do I do? Do I contact Abbott?

I do CGM as the finger pricks scar and need I finger tips to be non painful for work

Thank you

Am I pregnant?

I should be 8/9 DPO - I wasn’t checking as we just started trying and had decided if it didn’t happen for 6 months we’d look into LH strips, ovulation kits etc.

Only tested a my nipples have been really sore for the last 2 days, but simultaneously getting symptoms of PMS. I used the Clearblue Ultra Early Advanced test that checks for FSH and HCG.

I took one mid day yesterday and it was blank

Took this first thing in the morning.

Please help, I’m type 2 diabetic and my doctors said to contact ASAP as I would likely need Insulin to have a healthy baby and was told it will be a high risk pregnancy when I get pregnant due to medical conditions

Thank you

Delayed effects of Mounjaro

Hello 29F t2d, diagnosed 4 years ago. On 2000mg metformin daily
Was on Monujaro from Jan 2025 - Dec 2026
I then stopped taking it as was a bit ill and it went out of date and 7.5mg would make me very nauseous and sick.

GP put me back on 2.5mg for a month in May, however, husband and I have decided to have a baby so been off of it since June 2026.

I invested in a CGM (libre 2+) over the last 2 months and have noticed that my blood sugar rises gradually for up to 2 hours post meal - unless it’s carbs and then falls gradually too.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that it gets a major spike on waking up - and during strenuous exercise (incline walk on treadmill, lifting heavy weights)

Can anyone help me figure this out?

I’m 90% good with my diet
For the last 14 days I have cut out refined carbs - only having those in home cooked lentils etc but still seeing morning spikes
I tend to finish eating by 7:30-8pm due to work schedule

I am trying to eat by the Eatwell guide
