TTC and I’ve been having a very confusing cycle please help!

I’m ~6DPO got my positive LH strip on 8/13 and 8/14. And ever since I ovulated I’ve been spotting. It goes from fresh blood mixed with brown to just dark brown. It’s not at all enough to cover a pad it’s veryyyyyyyyyyyy little. I do get ovulation spotting so during my LH surge I was also spotting. I have NO other symptoms or pain. My cycles are always pretty normal and never experienced spotting for this long! Also did a hormonal panel back in April and everything was normal I don’t have any hormonal problems. So what can this be? What is this spotting from? I ordered some pdG tests and we’ll test that tomorrow.

Back to Day 1 (as of August 19th). This cycle has given me a good understanding that one can do everything correctly time wise and still end up back at square one.

I haven’t been too serious about the TTC thing, and I think mainly that’s because my husband is also the same way. If it happens, it happens, and we will definitely be happy about it. But it doesn’t stop the pain and sadness of doing everything right and the cycle still restarting. I’ve been a bit more serious about TTC these past few months because I grew up in a time when BC was a thing given out like candy. I started taking it at around age 19 for acne (I’m 27 now and stopped taking it in September 2025). I was never taught much about my own body or even BC for that matter. So this past year I’ve really learned a lot. Most of this year was spend avoiding pregnancy because we weren’t ready yet. Now that I’m feeling like time is slipping away from me, I’m starting to wonder if it’s even possible. Maybe there’s just something that’s wrong with me that was never discovered when I was given BC. Because quite honestly, despite my cycles being pretty regular since I stopped taking BC, part of me still believes that I will never get a positive test.

Positive then negative test?

Hi all! This cycle was our first time trying to get pregnant. Semi tracking my ovulation but just kind of seeing what happens. I started spotting for one day and assumed it was just the start of my period and then it stopped. After some research I thought it could possibly be implantation bleeding.

I took a test the day I was supposed to get my period - Tuesday, and got a very faint positive. The next day I took two tests and both were positive (the line a little darker than the day before and a for sure "pregnant" on the digital). Today, I took two tests and they were both negative (no second line). They were two different brands (not sure if that matters). When I went to wipe there was some dark brown spotting, but nothing since then.

I know it is super early to know anything for sure, but this is my first time doing this and I am confused and anxious. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this or if anyone has advice or encouraging words.

Thank you in advance! <3

Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing well (or as well as you can be anyway)

Just stepping in to say hey and get this out. I’m 21 and my husband is 22. We’ve been trying to conceive since around this time last year and still no luck.

I’m not looking for sympathy or anything, just wanted to vent. 11 DPO today in my 10th cycle and yet another negative. I’m genuinely so discouraged. I’m ready for my rainbow baby.

Clearblue went straight from empty circle to solid smiley + no cervical mucus this cycle — anyone experienced this?

Hi everyone! Looking for experiences because this is only my second cycle TTC and this month has been completely different from what I'm used to.

Last cycle I had a very clear pattern. My period started 5 July, I got a flashing smiley around CD10 and then a solid smiley/Peak around CD12–13. I also had noticeable cervical mucus around my fertile window, so everything seemed to line up.

This cycle has been strange from the beginning. My period was due around 5 August, but instead I had more than a week of intermittent brown spotting, occasional red blood when wiping, and days where everything disappeared again. This has NEVER happened to me before — my periods are normally very regular, start red and become heavy quite quickly.

Eventually I got what I consider my proper period on 8 August, which lasted until around 14 August. By the 15th I wore a pad but there was no blood at all, so I'm counting 8 August as CD1.

I started using Clearblue Advanced Digital again:

  • 16 Aug (CD9): empty circle ○
  • 17 Aug (CD10): empty circle ○
  • 18 Aug (CD11): empty circle ○
  • 19 Aug (CD12): suddenly SOLID smiley 😊 — Peak Fertility

I never got a flashing smiley/high fertility result this cycle. Literally the evening before Peak I had a completely empty circle, then the following day it jumped straight to the solid smiley.

The other thing worrying/confusing me is cervical mucus. Normally I notice obvious discharge/mucus around ovulation. This month I've had basically NONE — no obvious egg-white/slippery mucus and hardly any discharge at all. Yet Clearblue detected Peak on CD12.

For TTC timing, we had sex on 16 Aug (CD9) and 18 Aug (CD11). We tried on the 19th when I got Peak but unfortunately my husband couldn't finish, and we didn't have sex on the 20th. So I'm hoping the 18th was well timed enough.

Has anyone else experienced:

  1. Clearblue going directly from an empty circle to a solid Peak smiley with no flashing smileys at all?
  2. An LH surge/Peak result despite having little to no noticeable cervical mucus?
  3. A strange period one cycle and then apparently still ovulating around your normal cycle day?
  4. And has anyone conceived from intercourse mainly the day before their Peak result?

I'm mainly wondering whether this sounds like I genuinely had my LH surge/ovulated normally and Clearblue just missed the estrogen/high-fertility stage, or whether the lack of cervical mucus could mean something else.

Would really appreciate hearing other people's experiences because after last month's weird bleeding, I'm probably analysing absolutely everything this cycle 😂❤️

Feeling hopeful since my temps are still elevated and I get my period typically day 26-27.. 😫😫😅 i have never ever seen a positive test ever, so I am so discouraged!!!

Desperately need help…

Hi all, I could really use some help deciphering what is happening.

Background
Period was July 20-25.
Suspected ovulation was August 1-3.
20yrs old, diagnosed with Lean PCOS at 16, high DHEAS.
Been TTC for around 6-7 months.

Around two days ago, I tested and received a faint positive. Husband and I were overjoyed, but cautious so we continued testing. Note that I was also experiencing what could be interpreted as pregnancy symptoms.

The next day, yesterday, I tested again in the morning and noticed the line seemed fainter than before. I had a very sharp cramp-like pain, like none I’ve had before, around 11:00AM, and I felt like something was wrong so I went and got a Quant hCG test. Then I continued testing throughout the day (little to no fluid for better accuracy, idk lol) and the line disappeared altogether.

Today I received my hCG Beta results and my level was 16… my tests have been faint positives and negatives all day today as well. I got another hCG test done today (early, I know) and am going back for another to see if my levels are declining or improving in a few days.

Please help!!!! I just want to know if this is normal or something of concern. Has anyone else experienced this? I am freaking out and feel so dumb that I don’t know if this is normal.

Thank you in advance.

Vvvvvf line and cramping- am I pregnant?

I am 14dpo and 1 day late on my period. Two days ago I tested positive on 2 different tests! Both were very light but the Easy@Home was darker. Yesterday, I tested with both of the tests again and got the faintest line on the Easy@Home test and the same faint line on the First Response (still very faint).

Yesterday, I started getting the worst back cramps. These are the same cramps I get right before I start my period. I had them all day yesterday. I woke up and still have these cramps. I tested maybe a little darker on the first response this morning but did not do an Easy@Home because I was in a rush to get on a flight. Picture of how faint the line is for reference. I am not sure how much that matters??

I am nervous because of how faint the line is and the period like cramps.

First time TTC - early symptoms?

What were some early (pre BFP) symptoms you had when you got pregnant? I’m 6-7DPO and I swear i can feel wave-like sensations right in the middle of my uterus, BBT is up, rest HR is up like 5+ bpm, a lot more CM than is normal for me in luteal.

Just wondering/speculating while i go through the agony of waiting to test since its still too early :)

When is the best time to take ovulation test?

I have been trying to figure out what day my ovulation occurs using ovulation strips, but I am not sure what time of day I should be taking them? I have been taking them in the morning so I don't forget, but the second line has been really faint even though my Flo app says I am nearing my ovulation day?

First month TTC

Hi all!
This is my first month TTC. I started using LH strips this cycle, but since we’re trying not to put too much pressure on ourselves and are mostly just testing things out this month, I’m doing some research while tracking my LH at the same time.
These are my test results starting from CD14. There were a few days when I forgot to test. On CD22, I noticed that the test line was the darkest it had been up to that point. I stopped recording the results after that, but I’ve continued testing until now. Since then, the T line has only gotten fainter, so I’m assuming my LH surge may have happened sometime between the evening of CD22 and the following morning.
We did BD consistently over the next two days, though, so I’m hoping we didn’t miss the window completely!
I didn’t manage to catch an obvious peak with the strips, but I did notice some EWCM, so I’m still feeling pretty hopeful about this cycle.
For the past 2 days, I've been experiencing very slight tense and cramps, but very slightly, not painful or anything.
I’d love to hear your opinions—should we keep BDing for a few more days, or does it look like my fertile window has probably already passed?

CD26

I am on CD26 today on my first cycle trying and I have been trying very hard to not test until an actual missed period. It has been brutal. Cant wait to be out or TWW.
