I'm renting a flat and I think other people in the building have Hyperoptic and I've also got a leaflet from them asking me to sign up. I spoke to my landlord and they said because it may need a 10mm hold drilled above the door they will need to seek approval from the freeholder and the building management which may take some time.

Is there any way to find out before installation if drilling is actually required. There is only an openreach box in my flat and I can't see anything to suggest hyperoptic has ever been installed here before.

I started the claim 10/04 and first appointment 05/05. I have another appointment today but no payment so far and my bank shows payments going in the day before and there is nothing.

Just thought that doesn't seem right.

I had my first job seekers allowance appointment today and was advised I would probably be entitled to housing benefit. They told me I should claim universal credit.

I've never claimed universal credit before so not sure if this is something I should do. I'm hoping to find a job quickly but so far no luck so wondering if it's the sensible thing to do or just stick with job seekers.

The person I spoke to seemed very keen I applied for universal credit. This is in England.
