I love it so much so I bought the black one after this. But this color is still my favorite one

I love Tatcha, so I decided to blind-buy this SPF lip tint when I saw it at Ulta.

At first, I was really excited to see a lip balm with SPF, and since I have so many fav products from Tatcha, I thought this one would be great too. But after buying it, I honestly regret spending the money.

• The texture is smooth and glides on nicely at first. When I first applied, it felt smooth, but after 2 - 3 hours, it actually leaves my lips feeling much drier 🥲.
• The color is very sheer since it's a tint, but it's much lighter than what you see in photos or on the product, probably lighter by at least two shades.

 

Usually, lip tints develop color over time, but this one doesn't really show much, even after wearing it for a while. My lips still look pale, so I always have to layer another lipstick on top because it's just too light.

- The main function is SPF, but because of that, the shelf life is quite short. In my experience, it's even shorter than a lot of sunscreens, only a few months, and no matter how I use it, I can't finish it before it expires, which feels very wasteful. 

Overall, the price is too high for this quality tbh

• The only nice thing about this is the packaging; it's beautiful, and that's about it.
• Overall, for this price, I think you're better off buying a regular lip balm or SPF lip product at a much lower price, then applying your own lipstick on top.

Aside from the pretty packaging and that luxury feel, I don't really see any strong advantages. I definitely wouldn't repurchase.

Just sharing this review for anyone who might be considering it.

It’s pretty rare for me to get products from Home Tester Club (though not as difficult as Topbox 😆), and this is one of the items I recently received from them. It’s the Tweezerman lash curler, and I love it so much
