As the title of this post suggests, what happens if someone figured out how to weave the Great Curse into Fate? I am thinking just the Curse on one Solar shard. Would it get a god assigned to it? What powers might it have? Would all of the higher ups in Heaven automatically become aware of its existence?
Ok, the last couple might have been fumbles, but I think this is a good one.

And yet, Adorjan understands better than any of her siblings that to have one’s mind broken from the horrors of the world is to invite the possibility to rise again, reborn and stronger than before. Between Malfeas’s conviction to fully and forever enslave those who have finally been shown the futility of resisting him, and the wisdom of Adorjan which elevates those whose minds she has ravaged with her powers, comes terrible new power for the Warlocks.
When a mortal, or a group of mortals not exceeding the Infernal’s Essence in Magnitude, kneels before the Heretic wielding this charm, instead of merely placing a brand upon those who submit, the Warlock can elect to place more than a brand upon those who pledge themselves to the Infernal, and can inflict upon each of them a mental mutation (Deformity) of the Infernal’s choice that is in line with the eternal subjugation of those who submit. Examples include an irresistible phobia of displeasing the Infernal or an irresistible obsession to obey the Infernal’s commands. So deep is the transformation that even the motivations of those who pledge themselves to the Infernal has been changed to something more grand and that matches the mental deformity the Infernal chose. Examples of this can be “slay all mortals who will not submit to the will of my master,” “demonstrate through my service the awesome glory of the Warlock I serve,” or “devote my existence to my mistress’s campaign of conquest until all of Creation has finally knelt at her feet.”
Unlike with Fealty-Acknowledging Audience, when this charm is used to improve the former, a mortal can choose to resist the effects of this charm even if they kneel and swear their fealty, but only by spending willpower points equal to the Infernal’s willpower. However, the Infernal will immediately know who resisted submitting their will to his and will instantly develop an intimacy of hate towards the mortal or mortals who defied him.
Finally, even if the deformity is removed, the mortal keeps their new motivation and heroic mortal status.
Say you had an infernal who went around and used his infernal abilities to heal demon communities that had outbreaks of one of the countless diseases that Malfeas is infamous for, or who went to the catacombs and sewers and healed the demons that were afflicted by Erembour’s shaping effects, and thus were left unable to face the light of Ligier. How would one of the Jade Lions respond, or a Blood Ape.
I’ve heard jokes that a Neomah might pull out the scraps of tissue she was saving for a masterpiece and leave the most interesting baby she has ever created at your doorstep as a thank you, which is honestly what made me think of this question.
Has anyone considered giving ghosts an “afterlife” by transforming them into elementals using Wrath of the Five Elements? Is this technically possible? I didn’t see a description saying that the target must be “alive,” but you do need a piece of the body as one of the three needed arcane links.

The Infernal weds himself with bonds of hatred to another soul and, as he does, grasps hold of the burdens it carries. He must target an Exalt currently mirrored by Nemesis Self Imagined Anew. Touching the target, the Infernal rolls Manipulation + Larceny against the target’s Dodge MDV. A willing target may waive this defense.
Success creates a metaphysical conduit between the Infernal and the target’s Exaltation. The target remains the owner of his Limit, Resonance or analogous curse trait, but no longer possesses exclusive metaphysical ownership of it. The Infernal becomes capable of accepting, manipulating and relieving that burden as though its corruption stained his own soul. This does not grant access to the target’s Charms, anima powers, memories or Exaltation.
The connection preserves the negative Intimacy created by Nemesis Self Imagined Anew. This Intimacy influences social combat normally but does not compel the Infernal to harm the target or prevent him from acting in the target’s interests.
Whenever the Infernal performs an Act of Villainy, benefits from a Charm that reduces Infernal Limit, or satisfies another effect that the Storyteller judges spiritually analogous, he may direct the resulting relief through this conduit. Roll the Virtue normally associated with that act or effect. Each success may reduce one point of the Infernal’s Limit or one point of the linked target’s Limit, Resonance or analogous curse trait, divided as the Infernal chooses.
For an Abyssal target, the roll uses the Infernal’s corresponding Virtue and has a difficulty equal to the Abyssal’s rating in the damaged Virtue associated with the Resonance, minimum difficulty 1. The Infernal automatically recognizes which damaged Virtue is implicated.
Each time the Infernal directs relief through the conduit, he gains one point of Limit. This Limit gain occurs before reductions are assigned and cannot be prevented, redirected or transferred. The Infernal gains this Limit even if the Virtue roll fails. If the Infernal uses Retribution Will Follow, one point of Limit or Resonance is immediately removed from the target’s track and the bond forged by Nemesis Self Imagined Anew is terminated. During the use of this charm, the target of Nemesis Self is always the primary target of that individual is present.
This Charm cannot end a Limit Break already in progress, suppress an active Torment or remove Resonance consequences that have already manifested. It cannot reduce any trait below zero.
The Infernal may sustain only one conduit created by this Charm at a time. Ending the mote commitment severs the connection immediately. The target may also sever the connection by breaking the Intimacy created by Nemesis Self Imagined Anew, using magic capable of removing Shaping effects, or defeating the Infernal in an opposed Willpower + Integrity + Essence roll attempted once per story.
So I am trying to design a 3rd Circle who is basically the ultimate protector and bodyguard. He may not have the strongest offenses, but I am envisioning him as being able to spot and counter any threats. From Total Annihilation to a night caste trying to snipe you.

So in CoCD: Malfeas there is a section that discusses how through study in the libraries of Malfeas, a Naneke (praying mantis/demon scholar) can acquire any two other charms. Other demons, like the demons who were created to dance before the Gates of Saigoth were also described as learning special dance charms. For a special Beggar’s Rift (demonic commune or some other benign form of civilization that is always arising and then being destroyed in Malfeas) in Creation that my Infernal is building for his followers, do you think that he could actually have the other demons buckle down and learn the Neomah shapeshifting charm, at least to the point that everyone could develop their own unique human form?
Edit: Or maybe even use that Cecelyne charm “Gifts of Greater Glory” that lets you teach charms (even ones you don’t know) to others?
What sort of limits should there be on a behemoth who learns sorcery? Mother Bog seems only able to go up to Terrestrial, but is a master Terrestrial sorcerer, so it doesn’t seem like this is due to a lack of interest or dedication on her part.
I am so tired. My mom is the sweetest person who ever lived, and the people she has gotten addicted to watching keeps filling her mind with insanity. Unfortunately, my mother was taught to be a “good Christian,” and a “good American.” These insane news sources keep using the right trigger words and phrases to shut down critical thinking and now my mom is, by any rational definition a raving lunatic. I empathize, because as a former Evangelical, I know how hard it is to peel yourself away from the environment you are born into, but I just don’t have the energy to deal with this anymore.
So, I had a fun little thought experiment. The Hive Mind hates the Blood Angels. The Hive Mind is vast beyond measure, but a significant chunk of it would likely focus on eating a Blood Angel and feel a certain satisfaction in doing so. What if it could be tricked into thinking Lucius the Eternal was a Blood Angel? Would this actually result in a tug of war between Slaanesh and the Hive Mind?
Slaanesh is the god of every form of self destructive gluttony there is, the epitome of someone who cannot back down from a pie eating challenge, or who will keep trying to take and indulge, even when it is self destructive to continue. The Hive Mind would be the thing she would be trying to absorb overwrite, and I do believe she would fail. So what would be the outcome?
How do you think Evangelicals, who put all of their money in Israel being a fulfillment of prophecy, will react if Israel suddenly collapses? Because honestly, given how Republicans hate “globalism” and are starting to see the leash Israel holds over our politicians as an extension of globalism, I think they can actually rationalize this one and pretend they never had much investment in Israel in the first place.
