I had an amazing NT match playing NATO

It was perfect. Right from the beginning we had people doing air superiority, and 2 pairs of players doing SEAD. S300 went down in 20 minutes or so, then we started slamming naval until we had our nukes, and nuke carriers always had 2 escorts, weasels keeping AA busy.

It was perfect. PERFECT. Down to the last minute detail.

And they were all randoms.

This was some of the most fun I’ve had in WT in ages.

The Russian side is easier but with the S300, Nato is now possible. Gaijin, you may be actually trying but making bad decisions, or you might’ve attempted to deliberately sabotage this mode, I don’t care. Whatever it was, I love this game mode and I want more of it

This version of Nuclear thunder has some major issues.

First of all the Nato AA underperforms compared to the Russian side. The BUK system kills you deep inside your own territory but the Nato doesn’t do the same.

The russian side gets pantsir but nato side doesn’t get ADATS.

The AA behaviour towards munition is weird. Previously they would focus on whatever they target first, now they immediately go for the munition shot at them, even mid guiding a missile. If your bomb or missile is not fast enough, it gets intercepted.

There are waaaaay too many missiles. A team with 5 Su30 can shoot 60 missile in a span of less than a minute. Same goes for some of the Nato jets. Basically either the player count should go down for toptier version, or the map should get bigger. Or idk, put a limit on how many AAM you can carry.

Then there’s the rewards. The SP, RP and SL you get from ground units does not encourage players to leave air combat in favor of SEAD sorties. Even if they don’t want the pve rewards to be higher than pvp, something has to change because right now everyone opt to just joust with each other

Ito90 shuts off its radar after it shoots, which defeats ARM missiles 100% of the time. Idk if that’s by design but it’s annoying and defeats the purpose of anti radiation addition.

But I liked the ships and widened frontline, and that spawn lock, while annoying when you die every 10 seconds, I think is a good thing and just needs tweaking.

Or rather, it works but needs a better environment

The cyclic TWS radar mode targets friendlies as well as enemies

I don’t have the ability to record, but in my few matches today, the cyclic TWS on F-14A, F/A-18A, Su-27sm and Su-30 target and track friendlies as well as enemies. Whereas it should skip the friendly signals and only track enemies. The only time it could make mistake is when using BVR hard lock or ACM
