I’m new to this Reddit thread, and I’ve already seen people angry about the use of “grail”, but I wanted to show this off. It’s my first ever on ice spec, but also team issued jersey. Worn by the guy who dressed as Boomer for the Alaska Aces. The only thing it doesn’t have is the front sponsor patch, I don’t know why, which is a bummer for my OCD completeness sake, but still super amazing
I lived in Alaska from 97-04 and watched them as the Anchorage Aces. Funny enough, I moved to SC in 07 and watched them play the Stingrays for the Kelly Cup the following year. A few months ago at a Rays game, I wore this jersey and ran into some people from Alaska, to include Scott Burt’s wife (former Aces player and the then coach of the Gargoyles. Of whom the Rays were playing against). Small world
