Update to Light Purple Hybrid: Ripened!

Original Post with pics here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/HotPeppers/comments/1u6fvwz/genetics_being_revealed_are_my_adult_christmas/

My gorgeous F1 hybrid light purple pepper plant that thinks it is a Tree has peppers ripening! And unlike Dad who ripened into Cream color, these ripened to Blood-Orange like Mom.

The few ripening don't have the anthocyanin Purple Tan, these are on the indirect side of the plant. The sun is so intense for us June thru July, I had to keep a majority of this one in the shade due to it's absurd height.

Once the ones with Purple Tan turn Red, I'm going to scream like a kid. Gnarly red peppers with a purple suntan look amazing.

Freedom's Thumbs-Up Never Gives Up!

Being the team Medic also means healing their mental trauma and preventing it with overwhelming positivity. I never gave up with Freedom's Thumbs-Up.

And sometimes... just sometimes messing around mid-combat on the roof of your FRV next to the corpse of yourself with it's head stuck through the non-sunroof while your online Diving friend drives inebriated near non-aware Divers makes for a good laugh.

[P2] and I were playing with two randoms. Between the lack of wheels, clanker-grenade rolling to FRV's tummy, [R4]'s 2-meter Pissle Delivery, and the massive chaos around me I'm surprised we both lived (the landing at least).

Join the Medic & Support Diver Corps.! All 18½ of us will welcome you!

A new car? In this economy?

Holy Super Freedom, 2.4 seconds is NOT enough time to process my managed emotions right now. Normally I wake up to crippling depression and anxiety, but Freedom rolled over and looked me in the eyes with a brush of its hand on my cheek, declaring boldy, "Not today friend, for today - we resupply at unsafe speeds".

----- ----- -----

A Supply FRV? Are you SERIOUS? And it has a Guard Dog Sentry that shot me in the first minute of use because I didn't read the Operator's Manual? I AM IN LOOOOOVE!

This has so much potential!

  • Effectively another Supply Drop x3 that can flip you and your team
  • An autonomous Gun to protect you like our Eagle-1 Dakimakuras
  • Offers Medic/Support Divers more leniency to not wear a Supply Pack and create more opportunities to practice medicine by equipping Airburst RLs
  • More supplies for the supply-restrictive Caves, they call to us...
  • Goes on and on and on, like an FRV rolling down a cliff

<admires all the basic light blue SEAFs working in their shearling booties> Wow, Autumn sure is magical.

Thank you. I knew you wouldn't forget us niche weirdos. Always something good for us every patch no matter the theme.

See you on the Pumpkin Spice fields, Divers.

Genetics being revealed are my adult Christmas

This is my sixth year of peppering. Right away I began cross pollinating, the curiosity was insatiable. Ancestor peppers include Cayenne and Hot Hungarian Wax.

The past two years and current of my cross breeding is above. They all go back two annum species peppers. The left column is where I am at with my Annum cross. They all have wrinkled necks, smell VERY strong even when unripened on the plant, and taste like an earthy-flowery Hot Hungarian Wax.

The most amazing jump for me was crossing [chinense -> annum] in 2024 and seeing the results in 2025. I had about 100 seeds, >2/3 were black, and of the visually viable seeds only two germinated. One made small semi-rough berries that tasted like hot grass. The other is the blood-orange pile of seven in 2025 (see pic). It was an amazing pepper with an overwhelming floral/flowery aroma, packed with oil, and the flavor was similar with a heat of >7/10. Each plant has different colorings, too. One is purple stem, veins, (light) purple leaves. One is purple stems, purple veins, green leaves. Then the final is purple stems, green veins, green leaves.

Unfortunately the progenitor passed away during Winter, so things are going to be tricky trying to stabilize imo. Especially considering what the few children I have look like, one looks hideous but in a good way.

My big win this year was seeing the [Gen1 2025 hybrid x Pink Tiger]. I was stunned to see light purple cotyledons on one of the three babies, and sure enough its leaves began to turn the light purple like Dad once in the outdoor sun. On that specific plant, the peppers in the sun do blush purple. But for some reason this one decided to grow into a tree unlike it's bushier siblings.

Of the SIX chinense peppers I have growing this year in the flow chart,

Middle Column, top to bottom
*(*Parents: Self pollinated. Can't really call it Gen2 yet, imo)

  1. Round balls with stingers, almost all peppers on the plant look like this. One began to ripen and appears to be blood-orange like Mom/Dad. Aroma, flavor, and heat TBD later today.
  2. Barrel shaped and rough skinned like 'Grandpa Death Dragon'. Much fairer colored skin compared to the rest. Final color, aroma, flavor and heat TBD.
  3. These monstrosities are what I would call "organized chaos". Excluding one, they all look like this. Rough skin, vertical folds, twisted near base horizontally. Deeper green color. Final color, aroma, flavor and heat TBD.

Right Column, top to bottom
[Parents: My Gen1 chinense Hybrid x Pink Tiger]

  1. My prize pepper this year, my purple beauty. All peppers appear to be 5cm to 8cm (2-3") in length when full sized, fat/plump, and come to a point. They do blush purple when in the direct sun. The unripened green color it has is similar to Dad-Pink-Tiger, but looks deeper. Possibly from the anthocyanins is my guess. It enjoys keeping the little flower-dresses on causing some to bend weirdly. Final color, aroma, flavor and heat TBD.
  2. Semi-similar to it's cousin #3 above, is has unorganized folds but follows a similar pattern to other peppers on the plant. Final color, aroma, flavor and heat TBD.
  3. All peppers on this plant are like small Reapers, and very sharp with exaggerated stingers. Final color, aroma, flavor and heat TBD.

I love genetics and the surprises!

Permacura: Need No-Context Pics-n-Vids

Permacura sent a memo through the Medical channels about needing no-context photographs and videos of Divers doing what we do best,

Comedic Timing. Things like stuff going on in the background that don't make sense, moments before impact, the Diver airborne from the Charger... those kind of things. Bonus points if you have a Permacura name brand product in your Freedom hand, or you are covered in Permacura darts.

They said marketing, but there was also a lot of redactions. I guess we can just laugh regardless of their intent, right?

Right?

Edit: Not that anyone said anything, but I'm not video farming. Just engaging with this community of nuts.

HX1000i Shift iCUE Power Draw issue

Good morning. I do not think this falls under the iCUE Megathread, my issue seems specific to my environment and is not listed within said thread.

I recently rebuilt my system with a new components, upgrading from an AM4 to AM5. The only problem I ran into is I keep getting a warning in iCUE that reads, "Brightness Reduced due to iCUE hub power limitations".

What I do not understand is nothing in my iCUE environment changed except replacing the iCUE system hub with the HX1000i SHIFT and its built in system hub. I did not have any lighting issues previously using the little external hub.

This may be unrelated but I also keep hearing the 'Windows Device Disconnect' noise every ~5 minutes and sometimes a reconnecting noise will follow up within a minute. Event Viewer nor Device Manager hidden/disconnected show anything, such as a USB storage device being unplugged.

-----

Am I doing something wrong? Shouldn't the internal HX1000i SHIFT's iCUE hub be equal to or greater than the external one? I feel like I am missing something.

The LINK wiring is:
TOP PORT 7 devices: FAN/FAN -> FAN -> FAN/FAN/FAN -> *LIGHTING NODE PRO (case light strips)
BOTTOM PORT 7 devices: FAN/FAN/FAN -> FAN/FAN/FAN -> TITAN 360

*Note: The Corsair 5000T Case has SIX individual strips that plug into LIGHTING NODE PRO hub that iCUE LINK cables can connect to/through, two ports per. I do not know if each light strip counts against a limit, or as one unit.

- Fresh Install of Win11 and all drives wiped
- Current iCUE v5.46.67
- All iCUE devices up to date
- Nothing missing in Device Manager

Hardware Replaced

  1. CPU: AMD 9850X3D
  2. Mobo: MSI MAG X870E TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI PZ
  3. RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 4x 16GB DDR5
  4. PSU: Corsair HX1000i SHIFT

My iCUE environment is as follows:

Internal

  1. 8x LX RGB fans
  2. 4x RX RGB fans
  3. TITAN 360 RX LCD Liquid CPU Cooler (three of the LX are on the radiator)
  4. HX1000i SHIFT (including built-in iCUE system hub)
  5. 4x 16GB DDR5 Vengenace RGB

External

  1. Corsair 5000T RGB Case (string lights)
  2. K100 RGB
  3. DarkStar Wireless w/ Slipstream receiver
  4. VIRTUOSO RGB WIRELESS XT T-PAIN Edition High-Fidelity Gaming Headset w/ Receiver
  5. ST100 RGB Headset Stand

Thank you!

Medic/Support Diving: Best of Week 22

You have my word as a Super Physician that you will laugh. You can trust me, I have the highest Stim Pistol accuracy in the entire Medic Diving Corp at a whopping 8%. <thumbs up>

----- ----- ----- ----- -----

You: "Are we gonna see amazing Freedom footage of you saving lives on the Battlefield in the most Democratically cinematic way possible?"

Me: "No".

You: "Amazing power plays with your Doctor and Supply kit, or creative ways to succeed?"

Me: "No".

You: "Then wh-"

Me: "Failure. Absolute failure".

----- ----- ----- ----- -----

So, please. Do enjoy, and have a fantastic weekend of Democracy!

What it's like being a Medic/Support Diver in 42 seconds

Evening, Divers.

Got some Democratic Medic Diver footage with some random Divers the other day. Had a great time, but at times it was like wrangling a herd of cats.

Hopefully this video will deter encourage you to join the Medic & Support Diver Corps! And I don't mean a Discord group, I mean... like, pickup Sphteven the Supply Pack and Dr. Stimmy to spread the blue love juice and Bento Boxes.

Seriously, so much going on here. Dodging MLB players, FRV gained fiery sentience, picking up sample containers of the unalived, 5 million preparatory Stims or bubbles, everyone needs Supplies or Stims... even the other Diver with a 3/4 full Supply Pack /eyeroll.

HOWEVER!

(imo) The role itself adds another level of Difficulty when with random Divers, adding a challenge you may not have known the game had!
- Divers want supplies but run from you.
- Divers want Stims but dodge (only you) better than Neo.
- Divers want me to not flip the FRV and kill them, too bad my car my rules.
- Dr. Stimmy has a:
----- 50% chance to miss innately
----- 35% chance to hit a backpack, weapon or delfect off that cake
----- 15% chance to land successfully with a 90% chance to not heal the Diver in time.
- Constantly getting knocked down by RR and AB Divers.
- Never look to see where we are when using Ultimatum and Gigas... anything really.
(Note: 100% of the statistics above are anecdotal, but so very real)
(Note 2: Must have infinite and eternal patience, or Super Grass)

<puts palms on face cheeks>
Medic Diving is my passion, I hope it will be yours too.

ADHD Divers

Evenings, Divers.

This has been bothering me for awhile and it is the lamest thing not worth your attention let alone ArrowHead.

<ahem> This is how the current SUPPLY section should look with the currently available weapons set, and I feel like no one else has spoken up about it.

The way it currently is... it isn't wrong at all. It just... ya' know?

(If title breaks rules mods, let me know. I'll change it. <3 )

Thought my FRV was cursed

The way things have been, like with the video posted yesterday... nope! Just a shite driver.

Would you believe me if I told you I used to drive Ambulances IRL? Really on brand for my Medic Diving, but doesn't explain my low delivery rate which is oddly aligned with my high patient mortality rate.

<scribbled super doctor signature here>

----- ----- ----- ----- -----

Edit: Diver P2 has construction in the background. The backing-up-beeps really added onto the FRV murder at the end of the second clip.

Concerning the FRV HMG Operation Manual

I'm a Super-Physician, 90% of the trigger pulls I make are to provide life long addiction healing and exhaustion relief. I'm not unfamiliar with our Freedom Armory's Democratic weapons. It's just the FRV's HMG didn't work for me even though I did exactly what the operation manual said.

  1. Move to the rear of the FRV.
  2. Jump into the Gunner's Hatch with LRM completely piercing lower torso for safety.
  3. Position yourself as a soapbox derby racer, misaligned ~45° with the HMG.
  4. Left hand should be palm up.
  5. Right wrist should be broken 90° to the right.
  6. Both hands should look like they are holding invisible ice cream cones.
  7. Ensure elbows and knees are hyper extended.
  8. If HMG will not turn or fire, keep trying.
  9. Use broken and maimed right arm when stimming self in FRV.
  10. If stimming self is the only option you have and exit is impossible, keep healing through the agonizing torment and pain until Eagle-1 can deliver a quick painless mercy kill.

I'm not ashamed to admit ignorance. Got any advice for me?

Show Me How You Flop!

It's another Freedom Friday, Divers! Care to share your best or most recent ragdolls, or dumb ways you died?

This was earlier today, not even 1 minute into the match. It's like I'm fresh out of Boot Camp some missions.

Let's check those boxes...
- Caught off guard by snail-speed enemy in clear view
- Shot by a long Range Cannon marked by myself
- Exfoliated my front side
- Front flip to a bounce to correct lumbar issue, landing comically slow backwards
- Did the opposite of what Neo did
- Tried to helicopter away but wasn't fast enough

And yeah, I'm your Supply and Medic Diver who ate the entire supply of stim darts makes sound decisions but had a teeny tiny oopsie from withdraws from the fascist scenery.

Have a great weekend!

Buttery Boisterous Bubbles

Friend Diver,

During FTL travel to our next mission, please enjoy this Democratic footage of my mostly very unsuccessful applications of the G/SH-39 Shield throwable.

Some are timed well, some may prove my addiction to my medical supplies inattentiveness, the full range.

Still not sure about the Bastion Betty Tank one. Like, damn my mans. Tell me less about Cyberstan and more about those Cybergains.

Have a great week of Freedom, Divers!

I use the Breakthrough as a safety sometimes to ensure I keep going so my team has supplies and severely addictive narcotics Stims. I call it my Ambulance.

And let me tell you, this beauty eats 500kgs for an appetizer.

The random Diver at the end dying was one funny enough, but the laugh they did on the mic at the end was the only time we heard them make a noise the entire mission.

And what a noise it was. <screams internally>

A new team responsibility for me with the Spore variation has been interrupting the Spore Titans from Spewing. Speargun handles that with ease, up to three at a time if your team can manage.

Bile Titans are immune to all other forms of Stun & Confusion effects, except gas. Go, go now my fellow Medic and Support Divers. Grab your Speargun coated in that non addictive Gas of Justice to free these worlds for our people, and lick it for an insane high good luck before firing.

- AP5 650/275 Gas Damage + 80 Stagger Force + Aoe Confusion
- Excellent range and accurate
- Fast reload considering damage and effects, can be done moving easily
- Can be shot at ground, walls, other Divers, to make a gas cloud for enemies to enjoy
- Scrape a used G-31 Arc grenade case back and forth along the gas coated spear to Hot-Box inside Bastion Tank or FRV, get to see Super Heaven without reinforcements

I honestly find our Democratic Gas Clouds of Freedom to be the far more superior and than the vile and fascist Spore vomit they try to destroy us with.

u/MerriksSpiceFarm — 2 months ago

Only P2 was with me, the other two were random Divers we were honored to have served with.

I've been an avid enjoyed of the Breakthrough. I feel it has added a missing tool to the Support/Medic Diver kit. Huge fan, 9.5/10 Rating, gorgeous. <chefs kiss>

And ummm, as we learn to ride a bike... sometimes we fall. And sometimes other people get hurt because of our intrusive thoughts to try risky and somewhat unneeded maneuvers. And sooooooooometimes that bike is a 16 Ton Mechanical Suit of Destruction. Honestly thought Pelican-1 would budge at bit...

You can actually hear the moment I panicked with disbelief until reality slapped me in the face like an enormous 5m tall 4 ton shield. I knew P2 was safe, but facts vanished momentarily. Doesn't give me a pass for turning the inside of Pelican into a pinball machine until the torso ejected at Railgun speeds out the chute.

Please forgive me, Diver Fantaman. I don't care, Pata. You deserved it somehow.

- (F3 was a good sport and laughed it off, o7)

Edit: I just realized it wasn't Fantaman that died, but my Diver-Partner: Pata. I'll make corrections to the above, lol. This just keeps getting funnier. What the hell is in this Stim Juice?
