Happy birthday Beaver :]

Yesterday was Beaver's 3rd birthday!!! She is a fowler's toad.

Soon she is gonna get her substrate switched out so that it's clean again, and maybe get another wood hut. I wonder what else I can do to enrich a creature that mostly likes to just sit in the dirt.

"big allergy eaters" and turtles 😬

Plecos, turtles, goldfish, and live-bearers together. There at least seems to be filtration but it's still super murky...

Scammed by sealed in-store minifigure packs? :(

Hi there, I've never been on a Lego sub before because I'm not really a collector. I just bought 2 packs of the series 29 minifigs because I was hoping to get the Bionicle Cosplayer, since I do like Bionicle. If there's a better subreddit for this, please let me know.

I went to Walmart. All of the legos, including the minifigs, were in a case which had to be unlocked by an employee. She watched me get them and even told me that I'm not supposed to scan the codes or anything. The minifig display was completely full, plus 3 extras laid on top of it. I grabbed 2 random packs.

I get home and open them and this is what's inside. It seems like they've had pieces removed and replaced and been re-sealed. Literally just random Lego pieces in one of them. I was expecting to be disappointed by not getting the Bionicle Cosplayer, but this is even worse! How does this even happen??

Is there anything I can do? I don't know if Walmart will give me a refund now that I've opened them. Should I call the Walmart so nobody else gets scammed??? Do I need to email Lego or something???

Blueberry the vaporeon goes to Mystic Aquarium

I posted these on Tumblr too, but my partner just showed me this subreddit, so I would like to share them with you too!

Fun fact, I'm still kinda new to pokemon, and I wanted to have a favorite eeveelution but was struggling to choose. Then we found this guy at the bins and it quickly became one of my favs!! (I can never decide if Blueberry is a boy or a girl). I also have no idea if it's official due to having no tag, but that's okay.

Stressed peony(?) needs help

Hi there, first post here! I am not a skilled gardener; I have a bunch of plants but my ability to keep them alive varies greatly.

I got this plant on the side of the road a few weeks ago. Does anyone know what this thing is and how to make it want to be alive? Its leaves have been curled up the whole time I've had it, and now its leaves are slowly dying :( The last pic is more recent, but a few more leaves have died since then.

My best guess is that it's a peony, which my mom says like bright light and prefer to be in the ground. I've tried moving it to slightly more or less sunny areas but it never feels better.

What is the best course of action for this plant? Report it entirely, and if so, is there a better substrate for it? Perhaps fertilize it (I have some work castings on hand)? Drastically increase or decrease sunlight or watering? Is its only hope to be planted in the ground? I live in an apartment so all of my plants are in containers even if they're outside, but maybe I could get away with one, but then it would live here.
