Edie Parker?

After recent discussions here about Curaleaf's oligarchic roots, I started to look at Vireo's website again and I'm not familiar with the products they're offering.

Any recommendations on Edie Parker vape cartridges? Those and Curio Wellness seem to be the two they offer, and the Curio carts have weird names like "Sex" and "Gut" and "Sleep" which I find off-putting.

Anyway - if anyone has experience with Edie Parker carts, please share. Thanks in advance.

The first time I tried Find flower at Curaleaf, probably 2 years ago, I was not at all impressed. Dry, shaky, bottom of the barrel product. I have been sticking with Grassroots or Dark Heart since then but they recently had some insane sales... Find flower was $110 an ounce so I decided to give it a second chance and picked up an ounce of Crusty Crustacean hybrid. What a surprise! Big sticky moist buds and a really nice buzz, more on the indica side. I went back today and picked up an ounce of Funk Bomb sativa, which smells delicious and is also quite fresh and moist. Price today was $115 but I had points so it was only $100. The guy behind the counter at Curaleaf told me that all the newer strains seem to be showing up as Find lately. I wonder why.
The cats think it's a bag of treats for them - sorry kitties, this catnip is for me.

Furniture shopping in Nassau County, chapter 2

Several weeks ago, I posted asking for recommendations about where to buy a sofa in Nassau County. We had visited Ashley, Raymour & Flanigan, La-Z-Boy, and Macy's, where salesmen (some nice, some pushy) showed us sofas that were all in the $3000-4000 range. I should add that we have 4 cats... So spending $4000 + on a new sofa is just not something I'm ready to do. Add to that the delivery/setup charges, which all seemed to be about $250-350, and an optional warranty which was about $250 depending on the store. It all adds up quickly.

We had not yet tried Bob's, and the comments about Bob's ranged from "it's crap, don't bother" to "we got stuff there that has lasted over 10 years and we love it," about evenly divided between good and bad reviews. So we were basically avoiding Bob's at first.

Lots of people recommended Macy's Clearance Center in Carle Place, so we tried them next. Found much of the same/similar stuff to what was in the regular Macy's store, discounted about 40-50% but with no warranty. Since we are looking for a sofa that has reclining seats, we had to hunt down a sales associate and ask them to plug things in, and found that many of the recliners had issues with the motors. When I asked the salesman if it's possible to get them fixed, I was told "we don't fix anything, everything here is 'as is' and that's probably why it's in clearance." Well, I don't want to spend over $2000 on something that's broken! They told us they get new stuff in weekly, so we decided to come back and try again another time. We ended up going back to Macy's clearance center 3 times over a period of about a month, and kept seeing the same stuff, much of it broken.

Last weekend, we decided to give Macy's clearance another try, but this time we stopped at Bob's first. Lo and behold, they had exactly what we were looking for, and it was $999 - and the same exact configuration at Ashley was almost twice that, I think it was $1899, and it wasn't as nice looking. The sofa at Bob's is just as comfortable, maybe more comfortable, than the others we saw. The only feature that the one from Ashley had and Bob's doesn't have is a USB charging port, but honestly, do we need a USB charging port in the sofa? I can live without that, I have chargers.

So, the hunt is over and we bought the sofa at Bob's. This is just a simple fabric sofa with 2 power reclining seats, and a middle seat that folds down and becomes a tray table. And delivery is only $149, and the extended 5 year warranty is only $99. And, to be honest, this one looks nicer than the more expensive ones at the other stores. All the USB ports and cup holders that were features of the other reclining sofas we looked at made them look like airline or movie theater seats to me. This one just looks like a sofa. And the price was right.

Thank you to all who offered advice. This was a learning experience, and I'm glad it's over! Well, technically it's not over until we get delivery. Hoping that goes as smoothly as the purchase.

Bathroom buddy

So, our new family member decided to accompany me to the bathroom and then got very comfortable... I wonder if this will be a regular thing with him. I don't mind, he's so amusing.
Flippy floppy Flash, my new bathroom buddy!

Flash, Mochaccino & Ziggy 6 6 26

Only 2 days after being released from 'solitary confinement,' and 1 week after we adopted him, Flash is making himself right at home. The other cats are interested in this big goofy boy, and so far there have been no major fireworks. A little hissing here and there, but also a lot of sniffing and mostly peaceful coexistence. I've never had such an easy introduction of a new cat!

My first orange cat!

I have had cats all my life (over 70 years) and have NEVER had an orange cat... until now!

Meet Flash... This boy is 17 lbs of pure love. He is 10 years old, his owner died and he ended up at NYC Animal Care & Control, where he was pulled by a wonderful rescue on Long Island that has a "seniors for seniors" program.

We are just thrilled to have him join the family... the other 3 cats have not quite made up their minds yet, but they'll figure it out soon enough. He is a gentle giant.

Governor's Comedy Club

How's the food? Someone I know is performing there and I see that it's a 2-item minimum, so I'm trying to figure out if I should eat there or just drink and eat someplace else first.

I tried looking at the menu on the website, but they show NO prices, which strikes me as pretty weird.

Appreciate any information that anyone can share. I don't think I've been there in over 30 years.

Furniture shopping in Nassau County

Went shopping for a reclining sofa today and was pretty disappointed with the choices on Glen Cove Rd in Carle Place. TBH we only went to two places: Ashley, and Raymour & Flanigan. Well, we walked into La-Z-Boy and walked right out, they were super expensive compared to the other two. But shopping for furniture is exhausting, and I felt like I couldn't find what I was looking for.
We are an older couple, I don't want a gaming console. The sofas that felt comfortable weren't visually appealing to me, and the ones that I liked the appearance of weren't comfortable.
Someone suggested I should look in Farmingdale on Route 110, but I don't even know where to start there. Any recommendations?
Also, has anyone bought a sofa on Wayfair? They have some good deals but I don't know about buying a sofa without actually sitting on it first.
