Songs Omitted From "Live In Buffalo: July 4th 2004"
Was randomly thinking about John's vocal sound & delivery on the album "Let Love In" & thought I'd spin the album this afternoon...the vocals are my favourite thing about the record...the long sustained grand notes really soar above the music...it was a fresh approach...
It was kind of the last album that I really connected with...musically all the edge and grit is smoothed over a little too much for me with this album & it seems to remove or at least hide the sweet melodies weaving in & out of the songs soundscape...each subsequent album tread even further down this path so I mostly stick with "Hold Me Up" through to "Gutterflower" and those albums in between...
Anyway I was looking at their Wiki page for the "Live in Buffalo" album & was surprised to read that several songs were omitted from the setlist that night because of the storm...here they are:
