If Velma made Be Cool Scooby-Doo look better, that what about Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue?

If Velma made Be Cool Scooby-Doo look better, that what about Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue?

For those wondering, Shaggy & Scooby-Doo was once the record holder for the worst rated Scooby doo cartoon, getting a 4.6 from IMDB & a 58% audience from Rotten Tomatoes. Rather than the usual unmasking a bad guys disguised as a monster gig that they have been doing for decades, it just involves the cowardly dog and his owner trying to save the world from an evil mastermind using A bunch of gadgets....and that's it. The rest of the mystery gang has been turned into side characters.

Having not seen the show, exactly where does it hold up in the Scooby-Doo library today?

[Hated Trope] The Advertised Extra

Rosalina (Super Mario Galaxy Movie): Despite being prominent in marketing, she only got 10 minutes' worth of screen time, and most of it was getting her ass kicked.

Spike the Clown (Toonstruck): For those unfamiliar with this game, it's basically where an animator with a creative block (portrayed by Cristopher Lloyd) gets sucked into a cartoon world with his animated characters as its inhabitants. The aforementioned clown was prominently featured in marketing but was only seen in a single room towards the very end.

Mario (SMG4): During the trailer and livestream countdown of the PUZZLEVISION movie, it was shown that Mario would play a big role in the film, considering how he's the 1st to break free of Mr. Puzzles control and all. But if that were the case, I wouldn't include him in this post.

Mickey Mouse (Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days): He only appeared in a single scene, which seems like just "giving Square Enix an excuse to put him in the box art." But to be fair, it was the final piece of Disney media where Wayne Allwine voiced the iconic mouse before dying.

Fridge Realization

The first image is just an example of this trope. Imagine you are walking towards the fridge, ready to grab a snack or something, when all of a sudden, you realize a certain detail in a film, tv show, or video game that most likely made it a lot better. (At least, that's how I see it).

1: To think the entire events of the movie Sausage Party kicked off all because someone accidentally bought and eventually returned a jar of honey mustard. Without this simple mistake, the entire events of the film never happened.

2: Towards the end of the Captain Underpants movie, Mr. Krupp reveals he had actually read the Captain Underpants books. This gives off a perfect explanation on how he was perfectly able to act like the Waistband Warrior when under the hypnotic trance; he already knows how Captain Underpants is able to act!

3: To think one of the first signs that the zombies from Scooby Doo on Zombie Island was cleverly disguised as one of the many classic Scooby doo gags! (Shaggy frantically tries to find a vine to save Scooby from the quicksand, only for a Zombie to give one for him. You can guess what happens next.)

4: Manfred von Karma, one of Ace Attorney's most threatening prosecutors has not lost a single case in 40 years, up until the (initial) final case for the 1st game. Imagined being the poor defendant in one of those cases he been in. Even worse when you learned that there's a 99.9% conviction rate in Japan!

For context, it originated from the film school classic "Citizen Kane", where a reporter tries his best figure out what the titular politician's last words meant. Though they never found out the answer in the film, it was later revealed to be the sleigh he owned as a kid, and it was all some hogwash about wishing to go back when life was simpler as a kid or something. The NAME of the trope came from a scene from family guy where Peter taped over the scene where we first heard of the word, explained what it was, and went on and said "There, I just saved you two long, boobless hours."

Luke, I am your Father (Star Wars): Even if you're not a Star Wars fan, this one needs no introduction.

Oh wow, Shiek is Zelda, what a shocker. I sure hope a certain fighting game doesn't ruin it.

Sometimes, you just can't avoid spoilers! (Image from DUDE, STOP!!)

During the SpongeBob episode where Squidward tries to turn the Krusty Krab into a 5 star restaurant, Mr. Krabs "plays him a sad song on the world's smallest violin". Squidward thought he was mocking him, but it turns out he actually DOES have the world's smallest violin.

Chef Saltbaker (Cuphead DLC): During the begging of the DLC, Chef Saltbaker stated at the beginning that "like any good bake, heart and soul is the secret ingredient!" before they started beating the bosses to bake the Wondertart.

Once it was revealed that he's the final boss of the DLC, it turns out you DO actually need a living soul to complete the Wondertart.

(Avatar: The Last Airbender): See image description.

Bart (The Simpsons) was able to figure out that Sideshow Bob framed Krusty the Clown for robbery, simply because he literally admits that he has quite big shoes to fill.

Jeffy (SML) decides to open up a can of whooopass, both figurately & literally, after someone started talking smack about him.

Toy Story: When Woody asked Buzz (who finally found out that he's a toy) to lend him a hand, he did exactly that.

▲ 35 r/Cuphead

For clarification, I'm not asking how long it takes to defeat ALL bosses, I'm asking how long it takes to beat just a single one.

As everyone who played the Cuphead DLC knows: if either Cuphead or Mugman eat an astral cookie made by Chef Saltbaker, they will swap their souls with Ms. Chalice. But the effects are temporarily, which raises the question: exactly how LONG the effects of the astral cookie would last? And here's where I believe to found the answer:

You can play as Ms. Chalice through an entire boss or run & gun level, so the amount of time an average level/boss can be beaten WITHOUT DYING will be how long the effects of an Astral Cookie will last. But as we all know, beating either/or is very challenging, so analyzing YouTube for the info can't be very reliable for such info.

Kent Mansley (The Iron Giant): He may be an animated version of Ghostbusters' Walter Peck (He doesn't have the same voice actor by the way), but this paranoid government agent was rightfully nervous about a 50-foot extraterrestrial metal monstrosity suddenly crashing into a nearby town. Sure, the Iron Giant was friendly, but that's primarily due to the dent on his head which gave him temporary amnesia, and he befriended a kid who made him a nice fellow. Had he not gotten the dent, all of Earth would be screwed.

AUTO (WALL-E): Was given a secret directive saying that Earth is basically screwed, and that he should secretly keep everyone aboard the Axiom. He continues to follow this directive, even when there's evidence proven otherwise (I.E. the plant). After all, the directive didn't say anything about a contingency should there were any signs of plant-life left on earth.

Beerus (Dragon Ball): He's a god of destruction. Destroying planets is his job. What more can you ask?

Chef Skinner (Ratatouille): The fancy restaurant that he runs currently has only 3 stars on its belt (One from a famous critic who gave a bad review, the other from the initial owner and founder of the restaurant dying after reading said bad reviews). The last thing it needs is a rodent invading a kitchen, even if it IS somehow a good chef.
