Built an app from scratch and just hit 1,000 ratings with a 4.9⭐ average
Hi Reddit,
Wanted to share a small win that feels pretty big to me.
I’m a solo developer, and I’ve been building Game Nest, an app that puts a bunch of simple games and tools into one place.
Today, it crossed 1,000 ratings on iOS with an average rating of 4.9/5 ⭐.
What makes this milestone special isn't really the number. It's the feedback behind it.
I've had users point out bugs, suggest games, request improvements, and tell me what they actually enjoy using. A lot of those reviews have directly influenced what I've built next.
And honestly, as someone building everything mostly on my own, those reviews are also a huge source of motivation. There are definitely days when you wonder whether anyone actually cares about the thing you're spending hours building.
Then you see someone leave a 5-star rating saying they enjoyed a game you made at 2 AM. 😅
Game Nest is now at 77 games and tools, completely offline and ad-free, and I'm still adding more.
Just wanted to share the milestone here. 🇮🇳
If you're also building something on the side, keep going. Those tiny milestones eventually start adding up.
And if you've tried Game Nest, I'd love to know which game you liked the most or what I should add next.
