Symptoms of “Kratom turned on me”

I have been considering a lengthy taper to quit kratom extract like the ops gold caps but I am already having sleep problems like sleep disruption and anxiety. I keep hearing that kratom can turn on you at some point but I don’t know exactly what that means. Anyone experienced that while still using normally? Was it from kratom leaf or extract and after how long you started to feel that kratom is causing mental and physical problems. I still get the benefits from taking it but my main issue is sleep and I am terrified to taper or quit because it might get worse.

Did you notice any change with brands formula?

I am a long time extract user and have been thinking about quitting for a long time my dose is under control. The last year or so I noticed new side effects of the brand I use which is the opms gold caps (extract). A year ago I started noticing that if I take one full capsule I’d feel dizzy after an hour and off balance and also feel the whobles!! I also have been having sleep problems like waking up very early morning with upper back and nick tension and pain that goes away after I get out of bid. I used to have that when I used 7oh but I didn’t know that withdrawals with 7oh can start after 4 hours. I quit 7oh over a year ago. I’d like to get your input on the opms gold cap if you have used it for years and if you noticed any changes to effect and side effects and sleep.
I posted before but didn’t get solid input. Your input is highly appreciated

Neck Pain 4 weeks non-stop

I’ve been suffering from consistent neck pain/stiffness/tension on the sides of my neck down to my trapezius. It happens 3-5 hours into my sleep every single night and wakes me up. Once I am out of bed it improves. I work out several days a week without any problems. I can stretch and move my neck in any direction without an issue. Now it happens when I take a nap. I have been getting 3-5 hours of sleep. Some times the pain or stiffness is felt in my upper back close to my neck and shoulders. It’s been 4 weeks straight without a break and it ruined my mental health. My mattress is 1 year old and so far I tried 4 pillows but it all the same. Saw an orthopedic and did x-ray then asked for MRI and waiting on my follow up appointment. I take pregabalin for RLS but it’s not touching it. Also take muscle relaxer and Ambien for sleep but nothing is helping. Anyone has been in this situation? I don’t think I can continue like this for long. I wake up 5-6 in the morning after 3-5 hours of sleep. I am losing hope. I marked the area where most of the pain is.

Gabapentine side effects and sleep problems

I am thinking to switch pregabalin or else. I started taking 300 mg a day for 2 weeks for my RLS and and I keep feeling that my sleep is messed up. I wake up after 4 hours with tense neck and restlessness and feel wired although my understanding is it’s sedative. I can’t get enough sleep because of it I think. I also urinate more frequently sometimes 2 times in 5 minutes. I also feel foggy and tearing eyes from lack of sleep. My understanding is that the switch to pregab is smooth since they belong to the same drug family. Usually the opposite is the hardest. Any one on gabapentin having side effects that won’t go away or at least it subdued after a week or 2. I hope to hear a good response.

Tapering Extract

I have been using extract for over a decade daily. It is the type that comes in 2 or 3 or 5 count and called op.. gold capsules. Years ago I would do 4 caps a day. In last years I went down to 3 and recent months I do an average of 1.5 to 2 capsules. Each capsule is about 0.6 grams. What I am doing is a lengthy taper to avoid withdrawals. I hope I can get to 1 cap a day or less and stay on that for months before I stop it. Has any one done this kind of approach? I know it takes months or years to get to the lowest point so your body isn’t in a sudden quit situation. Most of the time I don’t get a buzz or high, it is just for the mental part so I don’t think about withdrawals. I hope I can get to a point where if I stop completely I wouldn’t suffer much. Please tell me your thoughts or similar successful situation. I am long term user and wouldn’t do a quick taper then quit it.

Can you take naps with RLS? What help you sleep at night ?

I am wondering if people who has it can manage to take a nap, and if so, what you do to make it happen? Also when laying down at night to sleep, what do you do to fall asleep? I am new to this and struggling to sleep or nap. I do take sleeping pill at night to help me fall asleep but can’t do it in The afternoon. Any ideas? My ferritin is in the 80’s

Dropping Extract Dose

I usually drop my dose and don’t suffer much but all the sudden and while at the same dose, I started having RLS which has been bugging me for more than 5 days and it fluctuates in intensity. I am now thinking it might be from something else, but wanted to see if anyone has RLS while on kratom and how long it lasted or lasts.

RLS in Left Leg

I am new to this thread and would like to hear opinions. About 15 months ago, I started having restlessness in my upper body whenever I lay down to sleep or nap. It was concentrated around my shoulders ( contact point with mattress) it made falling asleep not easy but still doable specially if I take Ambien. Last week, I felt some tension in my left leg when I went to sleep then couple of days after that it turned to a restless leg feeling in my left leg. It mostly happens whenever I am laying down to sleep. It got worse the last 2 days and it is making falling asleep sleep very challenging even with sleeping pill. I will be testing brain iron (ferrin or whatever) tomorrow because I heard that low level iron can cause it.
Anyone experienced this? What should I expect in the coming days/months? What worked for you the best. I also have tinnitus from a year ago and I feel all of that is caused by too much stress and anxiety.

Do you get lightheadedness with your tinnitus?

It’s been a year now since my tinnitus started for the first time. The first weeks were really hard but now I am used to it to a good extent. I do get bad days. What’s worse is the lightheadedness episodes I get. Some days the episode is really bad that I feel not very functional. During the year, the lightheadedness disappeared for 2 or 3 months but it came back again. Does anyone have the same symptoms or what what it might be?
