I(M24) have been seeing the same dentist since I was about 7. I've had the same hygienist for about 10 years now. I am really terrible with names and she introduced herself 10 years ago but I forgot.

She remembers me, my nickname, and little details about my life, such as my hobbies and my sister. It felt too weird to ask what her name was and as the years went on, it got more and more awkward to admit I didn't know her name.

I decided I wanted to take a shot in the dark and guess her name. My guess was something like Hannah or something. During my visit today, I saw that the employees had started to wear name tags. Her name was Crystal. Luckily I never actually said anything out loud so I dodged a bullet there. But I still felt embarrassed inside for not remembering.

TL;DR forgot my dental hygienist's name and felt too awkward to ask

I've posted a couple of times about my plant Michael and have gotten a lot of amazing advice on how to properly water him, how much sun to give him, etc. however I've noticed that the watering doesn't seem to be going very well. Though he's looking a bit better, the bottom watering method appears to not be working even though I position him over the drain so the hole in the pot can get water.

I left him in there an hour, the soil was still bone-dry. Two hours, still nothing. After another hour I decided to pick him up and feel inside the pot hole. The soil was dry. Even after being in the water for three hours. So I scooped up some of the water in my hands and poured it on top but I still don't suspect it was enough. When he's well enough, I want to change out his soil and possible his pot. I suspect the soil is the problem but I'm no expert.

What should I do to make sure he gets proper water? (Also the perspective of the picture is weird; the water is filled up about halfway up the pot height)
