Hello,
I am looking to buy a 2018 Toyota Yaris (3) Hybrid following a recent bad purchase.
I’m therefore looking for a “ready-to-drive” car, and above all one that won’t come with a flood of additional costs afterward.
I’ve found nearby a 2018 Yaris Phase 3 Hybrid, which I believe is a “Cyan Collection” (a limited edition of 500 cars from what i know, although the seller doesn’t seem to know—it’s poorly listed as it’s an Opel dealership), with 45,000 km.
What should I check? I’ve never owned a Toyota before (I’ve mostly had German cars and large sedans), nor have I had experience with CVT/e-CVT gearboxes.
Is it really useful to have a battery health check done at Toyota? I’ve seen some feedback online suggesting it’s unnecessary.
Should I be concerned about an 8-year-old battery with 45,000 km? (I read that they are rated for around 200,000 km and generally guaranteed for 10–15 years.)
Regarding the alloy wheels, I understand that it is equipped with 16-inch rims specific to this trim, with a terrible tire size: over €150 for Michelin tier per wheel, which is outrageously expensive!
What are the options? Alternatives? Does the 16-inch setup significantly reduce comfort?
Thanks for your help.
