I’m an international student who just moved into a property at Aylesford, and I’ve noticed there are a lot of cockroaches. Is this normal? How do people usually deal with this?

New glasses are blurrier than my old ones and causing headaches

I recently got a new pair of glasses, and I'm wondering if something is wrong with the prescription or if I just need more time to adjust.

My previous prescription was:

  • Right eye (OD): -4.25
  • Left eye (OS): -4.00
  • Both eyes have -2.00 astigmatism (cylinder).

When I was trying lenses at the optical shop, they increased my cylinder to -2.25 and said it looked sharper. I told them I preferred -2.00 because it felt more comfortable, but they still made the glasses with -2.25.

Now with the new glasses:

  • My left eye (-4.00) is very clear.
  • My right eye (-4.25) is noticeably blurry.
  • With both eyes open, I can see reasonably well, but not as clearly as with my old glasses.
  • I also get headaches and feel dizzy when wearing them.

Is this something that I should adapt to after a few days, or does it sound like the prescription (or the lenses) might be incorrect? Should I go back and ask them to recheck the prescription?

TB blood test with insurance

I am an international student, and I have a question about coinsurance and the TB test with the student health insurance. I understand that I may need to schedule an appointment with UHS once I arrive, but I was wondering how much a TB blood test would cost with the student insurance. Since the test also costs money in my home country, I am trying to decide whether I should have it done there or at UK.

Return the device, but xfinity not update, and my return disappears

I returned my Xfinity device, but they claimed they never received it and are still charging me for the service. I called them, but they seem confused about the situation. I have a tracking confirmation and proof of delivery. What should I do?

How you survived without car

I am an international student starting my PhD here. It seems that having a car or using Uber is necessary to get around. From Lexington Airport to campus or to Louisville, are there any private bus services or transit options that I may not be aware of?
