I don't know why people are villainising the concept of a "beach episode".

We fought one lord ravager with the fate of the entire universe at stake in 3.8. Then we came to Himeko's homeworld seeking a "vacation" in the words of March 7th and found what? A gag boss in 4.0, a Pompom Mechatron that La Mancha needs to go all out on in 4.1, then a Shuhu abundance plot that very nearly got a Lux arrow sent to the planet and... wait! Another lord ravager who we'll showdown against next patch.

After all that people seriously wanted Robin and Aventurine to get lore powerups to take down another anatagonist in the first patch of a Holiday Resort planet under the Preservation's protection? The beach episode is a necessary reprieve to relax the plot and get us away from the threat of cheap Marvel-adjacent end-of-the-world level stakes.

And for the lore players out there, there is a suitable lore explanation if you actually bother to look. Remember, Robin is a galactic idol who wants to investigate the IPC's true intentions behind the Anti-Destruction Alliance on behalf of the Family. She can't exactly just walk in and start snooping around as a literal celebrity can she? She signed a contraact with the IPC to put on a summer show in Astropolis, which gives the IPC the profit it always seeks and her a non-suspicious way of entering IPC headquarters.

Oroboros devoured the entire universe and we are living in THEIR stomach

Just gonna liven up this sub with an idea I've been itching to get out. (Art by Azuriel)

Herta extrapolates in the Swarm Disaster SU that the divine warfare between Tazzyronth and Oroboros destroyed two thirds of the universe. Two thirds... I've always thought that figure was a bit... well, convenient? We know how the history fictionologists like to operate, with their masterful half-truths and "good enough" explanations.

Could Mythus and THEIR followers be obfuscating a mind-shattering truth about the nature of the HSR universe? That Oroboros actually didn't stop at two thirds and, true to THEIR name as the Unsatisfied Devourer of Worlds, swallowed the entire universe into their gaping maw? In this light, both the lie the history fictionologists spread (that Oroboros vanished 'to the edge of the cosmos") and Ruan Mei's belief that Oroboros just died are both technically correct at the same time.

If the HSR universe is simply Oroboros' stomach, then they have "died" as an Aeon because they are no longer able to influence what is going on inside their stomach. They are simply digesting. And they have also technically disappeared to the edge of the cosmos, just with the vital omission that their stomach lining IS now this edge of the cosmos

And there are two things in that paragraph I just wrore that link us directly to Asat's plot in Planarcadia.

  1. Oroboros cannot influence what's going on in their stomach.
  2. They are digesting something within this universe

Let's deal with 2 first. I think we all know at this point that this 'something' is none other than Wishpower, right? Many are the theories that the Elation is keeping the Voracity at bay by drip feeding THEM with endless wishpower with the aid of the abundance. This duty seems to be changing Aha, with stories of THEM becoming infatuated with Oroboros' blood and greedily sucking at it until THEIR head is chomped off. This balance is clearly teetering on a knife's edge and Asat knows well how to exploit it for his own goal: the death of the Elation.

One of the stories of Enroute basically spoils Asat's plot. We have bunch of fools who were devoured by a Leviathan, and fell to their deaths. Just kidding, they didnt die. What they found within the Leviathan was an "entirely new world itself". They basically toured around inside the Leviathan like it was some kind of theme park, only for them to eventually reach its heart. With one kick to it the Leviathan vomits them all out. We can pause this fable here because that is Asat's plot to "revive" the "dead" Aeon of Voracity, collapsing Elation as a path.

To force them to vomit out the universe THEY devoured, thereby returning "from the edge of the cosmos" to once again influence this world. Perhaps the IPC wants that too, on behalf of Qlipoth. I'm not sure how useful THEIR wall really is with Oroboros' gastric lining serving as the true World's End.

Now that I think about it, Asat Pramad may still be the Trailblazer Isee at heart. If the world's end is Oroboros stomach, what lies beyond it? Should we except THEM as the boundary, or do whatever it takes to find out for ourselves? Maybe that's why Asat was so disappointed in Graphia, she who chose Sanctuary over Discovery.

P.S. Talking about universes getting secretly consumed, we still have that scene in the Deliverance trailer of Evernight devouring Amphoreus that never came to pass. I think that canonically did in fact happen and we're missing memories again Penacony-style (either thanks to her or the Head of the Garden).

Tourists, get outta here.

Yesterday I made an analysis of why Rin is literally a better Main DPS than before, provided you vertically invested into her. I was accosted by the horizontal investing "F2P" brigade that pull a shiny new E0S0 unit every patch and move onto the next. You are not Rin Tohsaka mains, you are tourists, and the difference is about to become very apparent.

Before we get started, those of you that are Archer mains pulling Rin for obvious reasons I have no problem with you. It's these players that jumped onto the bandwagon of Main DPS Rin and are now crying that she now needs a little more investment for stronger returns as of v3.

These tourists will have you believe noone but "whales and lucky players" pull eidolons on characters. They'll try and mock you for even suggesting to them the concept of investing into your main as an F2P.

Look at this poll on Saber Mains. https://www.reddit.com/r/SaberMainsHSR/comments/1u7bfs5/what_is_the_investment_level_of_your_artoria/

Oh look, the majority of Artoria Mains have her E6S1 by now. Mostly F2P/Light spenders. Shocked? These banners are available LONG TERM. You have all the time in the world to slowly gather Rin's eidolons overtime. If you'd rather spend your 90+ pulls every single patch on a new E0s0 unit that's obviously fine. Just know you are not the relatable majority you think you are. You are just here looking for your next temporary fixation, and certainly won't be in a year's time.

The worst part? Hoyo has literally given you an Archer, Sparkle and DHPT FOR FREE. Just slot in your e0 Rin here for the second strongest NLE team in HSR. But if you want her to excel as a Main DPS, you better learn from the dedication of r/SaberMainsHSR instead of imposing your erratic pulling philosophy on others as some kind of gold standard.

What is the investment level of your Artoria?

One year later, I'm interested to see how far Saber mains have invested into their favourite character. Also let me know if you did it as an F2P/Light spender or if you whaled for her eidolons.

Some of you guys are definitely overreacting about her v3 (Main DPS Rin v3 summary/analysis)

Everything that was taken away from her was made up for in some way or another, assuming you plan to grab her eidolons and LC like I do.

Let's start with her skill, which basically had its Gem energy bounce multiplier nerfed from 90% to 80%. Firstly, if you have E3 Rin (lvl 13 skill) that nerf is actually only 7% (99% to 92%), and still 2% over the base. Then she received a pretty massive E2 boost. E2 was always a final dmg boost for skills - which means after every buff/debuff has been accounted for and the game calculates your skill damage - this number was then multiplied by 1.1. Now it's getting multiplied by 1.3. I actually think on invested Rins her numbers on the skills will go up, not down lol.

Next let's talk about her Cdmg team nerf, from 100% to 70%. Noone's talking about this but her E4 was reworked from a mediocre 10% spd boost, to the less mediocre fact that this CDMG boost now can stack twice on her. Meaning her personal CDMG from this trace has gone up from 100% --> 140% at E4. Sure sparkle is giving a bit less CDMG back to Rin... but a +30% cdmg boost on Sparkle only translates back into like 6% bonus cdmg on Rin. Pretty inconsequential.

Honestly the only sad thing about this v3 is they cleaned out her def shred buffs. -10% def shred for her on her sig (ik she's giving the team 20% but still stings) and -20% def shred from her A1 trace. It means even with E1 Cerydra and E2 Sparkle she's no longer capping out def shred w/o genius set (86% --> I have an aeon scholar...). That said, they were both changed for other buffs (60% skill dmg boost and 10% res pen) so it really isn't the end of the world.

Overall this was NOWHERE NEAR a gutting, unless you only planned to get her E1. But her eidolons are available long term and I'm sure most of the Main DPS Rin enjoyers here were planning on picking them up regardless. The final icing on the cake is a small E6 buff, though here's to hoping they do something more crazy with it in v4.

When you're 1 sub away from Aeon 🥀

4.4 interference die on the monocle should do it 🤞

Scholar is optimal for me since E2 Sparkle, E1 Cerydra and her sig take her to 100% def shred already.

She's surviving v3.

People are crazy overreacting about her Main DPS potential because she has one of the highest damage PER SCREENSHOT in the game. Yes her burst skill numbers are high, but that is really the only damage source she has.

Compare to Himenova, who on top of dealing 4-7 million per ult with her mecha can assist skill every time an ally takes an action. Or Archer who, through spending 2 skill points 5 times for 400/500k instead of all of them at once, can basically match/beat her damage output at equal investment.

As a Main DPS, how is Rin going to fare into the Joy Ascendant enemy with her low-interval 1 burst per turn playstyle? Hint Hint: Pretty badly.

People should question this narrative I'm seeing that she's getting "gutted" because her burst is too crazy. It comes with clear strengths and weaknesses, and on balance is not actually above the DPAV of recent DPSes.

If anything, Hoyo should buff her so when you overkill an enemy she saves the rest of the gems for her next skill cast...

How many of you have shelled out for the Furbos?

I'm 90% of the way through convincing myself to cough up $200 just for Nihilux's wage slaves. And I'm literally F2P helppppp😭

So it looks like Robin SP won't be Himeko's teammate after all.

I guess that means Himeko is gonna have that full Astral Express lineup instead, and Robin will be part of a completely separate team.

There was a leak last week (2nd ss) that said she'd have some unique kind of Basic Attack we've never seen before, but the rest of her abilities won't do damage. While this indicates she'll be a support like her original form, characters like Aglaea technically only do damage on one ability (Basic Attack), while still being a Main DPS so DPS Robin might be back on the table.

Also, combine leak 2 with leak 3 and it's very likely Robin is the Remembrance character that is in development (Himeko is Erudition, Pearl is most likely Preservation and the fate collab units - if they actually come out - are rumoured to be Erudition (Rin) and Destruction (Gilgamesh). Leaving Robin SP as the Rem unit.

If so, I can't think of anyone better to be her memosprite than Beatriz, so I'm very skeptical of that info we got recently (that she'll have nothing to do with Robin's gameplay).
