Fairlife Core Power vs Core Power Elite

I just thought a creami and am excited and make my first ice cream! I am deciding between using the Fairlife Core Protein Vanilla (26g) or Core Protein Elite Vanilla (42g) as part of my base. Excluding the differences in macros, is there a different in flavor, consistency, or other characteristics when made into ice cream that would suggest I should use one instead of the other? Based on my search, it looks like the Elite might be thicker, but I would imagine using things like more gum or cottage cheese can make up the difference. Thank you!

Moldy Barley?

I bought hulled barley from two different companies. The first picture is from Food to Live and the second picture is from Be Still Farms. Are the black lines in the crease of some of the grains a form of mold or are they just imperfections that are safe to eat? I have sensitivities to mold so I am trying to be careful.

How long until Mad Men grabs me?

I decided to watch Mad Men because of all the amazing reviews. And I have liked all of the other highly recommended premium TV shows like The Sopranos and Breaking Bad. I just finished season 1 and it has been a drag. How long should I give the show if it has not really drawn me in at this point? No spoilers please!
