Can I withdraw €800 cash at Istanbul Airport during a 2-hour connection?

Hi everyone,

I’m traveling from Algeria to Russia and I have a 2-hour connection in Istanbul Airport (IST).

The problem is that in Algeria I can get money through my Visa card, but I need cash for Russia because I’m expecting to need euros in cash for my trip.

My question: Is there an ATM inside the Istanbul Airport transit area where I can use my Algerian Visa card and withdraw around €800 in EUR cash?

I only have 2 hours between flights, so I cannot leave the airport.

Is this realistically enough time to find a EUR-capable ATM, withdraw the money, and get to my gate? Or is 2 hours too risky?

If anyone has recently done this at IST, I’d really appreciate knowing which ATM/bank and where it is in the terminal.

Thanks!

Can I use an Algerian Visa card anyhow in Russia?

Hi! I’m an Algerian student coming to Russia soon. I don’t have cash euros or rubles, I only have money on my Algerian Visa card.

I know it may not be possible at all but is there any way to use my Visa card in Russia to get cash rubles? For example, any exchange office or a trusted person or an app maybe ???

I need to pay for accommodation soon after arriving, so I’m looking for any loophole and practical option.

Thank you!

Algerian student in Russia needs help with the currency exchange

salam 👋

I am an Algerian student and I'm leaving soon for Russia for a year at the university

I already have my university acceptance, visa number, and plane ticket. I'm trying to figure out how to legally exchange my money or get my 750€ in cash not a visa card

Because Russia does not accept Visa cards at all I need cash only

I went to CPA, BNA, AGB and even called so many banks on the phone but they all say that it is impossible to get euro in cash at all

help me I have no idea what to do
