I’m really happy with how my Endless Manor is coming together. Before the event started I saw a photo of the portrait on the table and knew I would be replacing it with one of my own. I used a photo of my parents getting married (1953.) I haven’t modified anything other than a lot of edge painting. Putting my new markers to good use. Thanks for the recommendations (from the tools list) Pluck!
You guys! I answered the recent Rolife Challenge question in the Rolife subreddit and was chosen from the correct answers. Today these two arrived and I’m totally flabbergasted! I was hoping for anything I didn’t already own but this is a shock. I don’t have either of these.
My husband brought in the package and I knew it wasn’t for me because for the first time in a while I haven’t ordered anything. lol Then I saw “Robotime” on the packaging and knew it was the prize. My husband enjoyed my frantic excitement then I told him, “I have to tell my peeps!”
I committed to edge painting on this build and am using a dark brown and a dark, cool gray. I love how some of you are using different colors.
I put some of the extra books on the bottom shelf. I wish the single books matched the connected book elements. The singles are so much thicker than the others.
I’m a little nervous about screwing up the lights but I think I’ve got it right so far.
None of my completed or backlog builds are anything like this and I can’t wait to get to the ceiling!
I know the Fifijoy event details will be announced soon. When the event was first mentioned I knew I wanted either Endless Manor or The Sewing Room. I had decided on Endless Manor because I have yet to build a whole house but the last couple days I’ve started looking at The Sewing Room again.
I know now that I want less of the “snap together“ 2D style and from the pictures I’ve seen, the Sewing Room seems to have more 3D elements. (And the manor looks way more 2D than I first thought.)
If you are familiar with either kit (or both) what are your thoughts?
Make Market has a Halloween themed line of book nook and other miniature kits. I’m not a Halloween girlie but this one really caught my eye and when I tried to leave without out it- it just jumped into my cart! Don’t you just hate when that happens??? Thankfully I had a 30% off coupon.
This is a very different project for me. I took a deep breath and watched the how-to video a few times (there are no printed instructions.) I glued all the pieces together and let them sit for a couple days. I sanded them a bit and stained them today using Spot wood touch up in “Early America.”

I’m a hobby supply collector. I do enjoy the hobby but especially in the beginning I’m all about the necessary supplies. I had 2 of the reusable shopping bags overflowing with stuff so I dumped it all out and organized them today. Pics are before and after. Now one bag is all tools, fasteners, etc. The other bag is my raw supplies.
For now I’m building book nooks and similar kits as well as making mini books. I’ve also completed a few Mini Brands collections (fridge, books, and masterpieces.) But I’m ready to go when the building spark kits.
IG sold me on this and it just arrived. I don’t know when I’ll start it but I was nervous that there wasn’t a printed instruction book. The QR code is for a video and it looks straightforward but I know I’ll wish there was a printed version when I get around to building it.
Has anyone else made this yet?
If you have book dups you’d like to sell, send me a DM. I’m collecting them for a project so the titles aren’t necessarily important. Some book sizes work better than others though.
For example: any of the traveling pants, Colleen Hoover, either Sherlock, Emma, sense and sensibility (zombies too), and similar sizes to these. Some hardcover titles as well.
Looks like both the Books and Masterpieces advent calendars are shipping in July when they were originally set to be available in early September!
Like many others, Starry Night is the last of the Masterpieces Collection that I want. I gave up buying capsules and it is selling for $50-85 on the secondary market (which I am not going to spend.) I found an eBay store who has it but also has a replica and at $10 plus shipping I gave it a shot. I love it! I don’t mind that it’s a bit bigger than the others or that the frame is different because it is my favorite painting and will be the centerpiece of whatever display I eventually make.
