Are these summer tires usable?
They're 8 years old (made 0418, bought 2019) and I read that that's too old for rubber.
My brother insists we should put them on for a season instead of having them laying around and wasting the winters. I don't know much about this, they seem a bit stiff to the touch compared to the winter ones, I don't know what you have to watch out for.
They ve been sitting around about 3 years (mostly in garage I think (this winter outside)) because no one bothered to switch them back on as we don't do many km with this car.
They've got plenty of profile left, just the tire itself looks a bit old to me.
Do they look usable (I suck at photographing)?
They're meant to go on an SDI Golf so they won't see much speed (and no highway (so nothing above 90km/h)) and no more than 200km trips, (here and there, daily less than 20km).
I can take a new photo if these are not useful (I was cleaning them, then it got dark).
