Tread stands at 4/32, should i change?

My 2 back tires are at 4/32, and my 2 front tires are 5/32, and the tire shop says they can run another 5000 miles easily, but there is an amazing offer on Sams Club for $535 for all 4 tires Goodyear MaxLife Assurance 2 [215/55/17] and tonight is the last night. My current tires are made in 2022 July. I hardly drive like 1500 miles approx every month. What do you guys suggest, should I get those tires at Sams Club or wait another 3 to 4 months? Please help

Bubble at 8 Months; Should I replace two tires or just one?

I just noticed a bubble on the sidewall of one of my tires. I'm going to get it replaced, but was wondering if it'd be worth it to replace both tires on the same axle. My car is front-wheel drive.

When new, I measured the tread depth as about 8 mm. After 8 months, it's down to just under 7 mm. I know that, in concept, it's best to have equally sized tires on the same axle, but with only 8 months and just over a millimeter of wear, would you think it would be worth it to bother replacing two?

If it were your car, would you get both replaced?

The tires are about ~$190 per tire; the bubbled tire should be covered by a road-hazard warranty.

Hit a curb and got a piece of tire chunk removed

I hit a curb at slow speed, managed to drive 100 kilometers or 60 miles back home at speeds of 100km/h or 60mi/h. Is it dangerous to continue using this tire. Do i have to get it replaced.

Would you recommend buying mavis tires?

I am having an issue with my 2015 Honda Fit wobbling when I drive any speed over 15mph. Earlier today I drove down state and the tire pressure light came on. I checked all the tires and they appeared to be fine. At highway speed the car feels like the seats are vibrating. I went to a mechanic today that said that the tires are so old that the treads are worn in to the point that there are indents and bulges causing the car to shake when in motion. He is charging $675 for new tires, installation and I think balancing.

I’m considering purchasing and installing tires at Mavis for cheaper. Would y’all recommend?

Summer Tire Install

I currently own a car with a full set of winter tires installed. I also have three summer tires and one extra rim, so I would only need to purchase one additional summer tire to complete the set.
I was quoted approximately C$200 for:
One new summer tire
Mounting the new tire onto the spare rim
Installing all four summer tires on the vehicle
My dilemma is that I’m not sure how long I’ll keep this car. I may sell it or replace it in the future, so I’m trying to make the most financially sensible decision.
I don’t know how to accurately measure tire tread depth, but I’ve already been driving on my winter tires through the summer and still have July and August remaining. Given the situation, would it make more sense to continue driving on the winter tires for the rest of the summer, or spend the C$200 to complete and install the summer tire set?
From a cost-benefit perspective, what would you do? Are there any factors I should consider regarding tire wear, safety, fuel economy, or future replacement costs?

Any time left?

Just did oil change and tire rotation and noticed this. Decided to keep this one (and the other back tire which is similar but not as bad) in the back due to its condition. Is it time for new tires? And looks like I’ll need an alignment too.
Front tires are in a lot better shape right now because I bought the car a year ago and forgot I had to rotate tires until my previous oil change. (I have FWD)
Can it make it a few more weeks with this in the back, or does this need immediate attention?

Mechanic inflated my new tires over the recommended amount. Should i take some air out?

I know this probably sounds like a silly problem/question, but im genuinely uneducated in the automotive industry so im reaching out to the internet.
I got new tires yesterday and when i checked the tire pressure after leaving (and throughout today), my tire pressure is around 37-40psi on all four tires. The little sticker by the drivers door says it should be 33psi. Its very hot where i live and i know the heat w/ driving causes the air to expand within the tire. Also, i would like to add that the tires are inflated with nitrogen (i didnt ask for it, the mechanic did it without informing me first). I dont know if that makes a difference or not. If the recommended amount is 33, why would they inflate it to anything above 35? Should i take some air out?

Sanding rims???

Im repainting rims a glossy black, and i really dont feel like sanding all the rims down by hand (not going to buy a sander ill use one time) but i have a wire brush set and tried it out on the rims and this is what it looks like. Chatgpt is saying not to wire brush them but in theory i could just lightly brush them and sand it down abit for the primer? Should i lightly wire brush+sand or just sand down???

Advice getting caked on asphalt off tire

Must of hit a patch on the road. Had really bad vibrations from the front of the car. Took off the tire and saw this on the backside. What's the easiest way to get this off? Put it back on and keep driving until it wears off? It's like scraping gum out. I was going carefully with a flat head screwdriver.

Used tires

I just bought a pair of front tires for my 2017 Corolla. I didn't see the tires before they put them on and this was hard to see before I got home since they wet the tires afterward. Once I got home, I noticed that both tires had dry cracking. Are they safe enough to drive on and take on the highway?

Too late to rotate tires now I’m guessing?

Hello reddit thank you in advance for the coming advice and/or roasts I’m sure I’m about to read in a few.

2012 audi q5 3.2L middle trim package
Photos go: front left tire (x2), front right tire, back right tire, back left tire and then penny in the front left and then penny in the back left

So…If you have not already noticed yet I am a poor excuse for an adult and still trying to learn how to take care of my own shit. That being said- I noticed that the wear on my front left tire is pretty fucked for lack of better words. From some of the other reddit / internet perusing I’ve done it kinda seems like I should be flipping out about and/or at least a little scared to drive on this front left tire with those little grey lines being visible (are these the “wires / steel wires” inside the tire that google has told me about? Confused because I touched one and it was soft like fabric not like a piece of steel, even in thin wire form.)

So questions - should I be flipping out about how worn my tires are and getting a new set of 4 asap even though its just the one that’s FUCKED fucked?

2 This uneven wear, primarily wearing on my front driver’s side tire, means that I have a messed up / improper alignment that needs to be fixed (preferably when the new tires are mounted), right? Or alternatively maybe a bad / worn out suspension? My research has shown so far that both of these might be an option…hoping not the suspension thing because that sounds way worse / more expensive to fix but again obviously i don’t know shit about shit (so thank you again for any help)

3 again kinda regarding the uneven wear / alignment thing- would rotating my tires around at 5k miles have helped make these bad boys last longer? Seems like that front left one is waaay worse off than the rest- not that any of those look too brand new at this point either

Thank you so much for any help you can give me! Maybe if yall give me enough good vehicle advice there will be one less (total) idiot on the road!!

Tire shop No Respect

Hey everyone, I want to share something that happened today.
My wife was on her way to work when she got a flat tire. She was already stressed because she had an important meeting at 11:00 a.m., so she searched Google for a tire repair shop and found their number.
She called them while she was driving, and her phone was connected to her car’s hands-free system because, obviously, you can’t safely drive while holding your phone. She was also alone.
What happened next completely shocked me. The man who answered the phone started yelling at my wife because her call was on speaker through her car. She calmly explained that she was driving, but instead of understanding, he continued yelling and swearing at her. He was so rude and aggressive that she ended up crying. She called me in tears.
I was shocked, so I called him myself to ask what had happened. He treated me the exact same way, yelled at me, hung up, and then refused to answer any of my calls.
Please, if you respect women and expect basic kindness and professionalism, think twice before doing business with this person.
