Thoughts on Nokian Remedy WRG5 Tires / Tyres

My 2023 I5 SEL with 255/45r20 tires are in need of replacement after only 20k miles and a recent patch due to a nail. 😭 I've been doing research here and various websites. I came across Nokian tires which seem pretty decent and I can get a set of 4 for under $1000. installed which is a great price.

I haven't seen many reviews to get a confident feeling about this choice. They are rated for low resistance. Anybody have experience with these Nokians? Any reduction in range compared to the OEM Michelins? Should they be a longer wear tire as 20k is obviously not good. They are called all-weather, and not all-season which is a bit confusing. I live in an area that gets all seasons including deep snow in Winters.

I should mention while calling around for pricing, some places were sold out on these tires which makes me think they are at least a semi-popular tire. One dealer praised them highly, but that's probably a sales pitch.

2024 Birth of Aphrodite Coin - Mintage 555, Silver 2oz .9999, Le Grand Mint of Germany

What is she holding?

Somebody Stop Me! 🤣 2024 Birth of Aphrodite Coin - Mintage 555, Silver 2oz .9999, Le Grand Mint of Germany

Surprised I could find one reasonably priced since they seem to be sold out everywhere at the original retail price at the somewhat usual $200./Oz for an art coin. Pictures include the Obverse without flash, Obverse with flash, Reverse no flash, Side shot to reveal the 3D look, Artist intention redition card, and the coin facts card. The NSFW is obviously due to the front and side views of the ummm "girls". Any idea what she's holding? Is it a squid? 🪼

PLYMOUTH ROCKERS - Don't Say Why - Killer Garage with 8 degrees of separation from a Beatles connection thru Teri Garr. If you don't know this 45, you'll be blown away by the fuzz and the history described below. 😄🎸🎸🎸🔥🔥🔥☄️☄️☄️💥💥💥😎

The Plymouth Rockers were a mid-1960s garage rock band whose history indirectly intersected with iconic actress Teri Garr through her roommate, Chris O'Dell.

While Teri Garr herself was not a member of the band—spending her early career as a professional go-go dancer and background dancer in Elvis Presley movies—she played a pivotal role in rock and roll history by steering her roommate toward the epicenter of the 1960s music scene.

The Teri Garr & Chris O'Dell Connection

In 1968, before achieving major Hollywood fame in films like Young Frankenstein and Tootsie, Teri Garr lived in Los Angeles and shared an apartment with Chris O'Dell.

  • The Fateful Push: While living with Garr, O'Dell met Derek Taylor, the publicist for The Beatles. Taylor casually invited her to London. Reluctant to uproot her life, O'Dell was aggressively pushed by Garr to take the leap.
  • Rock History Made: Taking Garr's advice, O'Dell sold her car and records, bought a plane ticket, and moved to England. Within weeks, she was hired as a secretary at Apple Corps. She went on to become one of the most famous rock music insiders in history—standing on the roof during The Beatles' legendary 1969 rooftop concert and serving as the inspiration for George Harrison's song "Miss O'Dell".

Who Were the Plymouth Rockers?

The name The Plymouth Rockers refers to a few different musical entities from that era, but the most prominent was a 1960s garage rock band that capitalized on the folk-rock and British Invasion trends of the time.

Attribute Details
Origin Formed out of Phoenix, Arizona (despite the colonial name).
Record Label Signed to Valiant Records.
Notable Tracks Known for their 1965 singles "Don't Say Why" and a folk-rock cover of Bob Dylan's "Girl From The North Country" (with the B-side "Roll Over Stephen Foster").
Style Marked by prominent fuzz guitar, strong vocal harmonies, and a distinct mid-60s garage melody

Intaglio Mint Round .999 Silver Question

I bought a 2oz Mercury Dime silver round from the Intaglio Mint for a B-Day present. This is my first purchase from them. I received it today and it's beautiful. On the round it states two ounces, but I don't see anything indicating it's .999 silver or any other purity. Is it just universally known their rounds are .999 silver? If we ever want to sell it, will anyone question it's .999 silver? What gives?

2026 Silver 1oz Phoenicia Liberia Coin - EVEN Better Photos

OK... My last attempt to show the details of this coin. I've stretched the limits of my phone camera. These are SO detailed, I'm tagging them NSFW as you might see thru her dress. 😲😁 If someone tells me this coin isn't detailed or beautiful, we need to step outside to settle this. 💪😤

Take Two... Anybody Know Anything about this vase? More Photos.

My previous post of this vase 3 days ago had many 100s of views, but only one comment. This does appear to be glazed inside. Again, it's about 4 inches tall and about 3 inches at its widest. The glaze is sort of a glittery gold. It needs some cleaning, but I'm not sure of the best way to do that and not damage the finish. As you'll see, no obvious markings. It's light weight, but has a feel of being relatively sturdy.

2026 Silver 1oz Phoenicia Liberia Coin Arrived

First of all, I'm a bad coin photographer 🤣 This coin is as detailed as the original post rendition photo, but my photos really won't confirm that very well. The coin arrived in a floating frame with an authentication card. Any marks or discolorations in the photos are caused by the floating frame.

The photos include a photo of the coin in the frame with an included picture of the coin redition behind it. Another photo is a close up using my magnifier, but as usual, getting the lighting right is impossible. Then you'll see both sides of the authenticity card.

No regrets on this purchase. The card says it's made by the Lebanon Mint, but the included outer box says Le Grand Mint of Germany, so that's a bit confusing.

If you're interested, the Lebanon Mint Instagram has more pictures... https://www.instagram.com/lebanonmint?igsh=MWJ4eG9qcmhkMXF3dg==

Can anyone tell me anything about this vase?

First time posting in this sub, so I'm not sure this is posted in the best place. I found this vase a few years ago at a garage sale. I thought it was interesting, but I can't find any info. about it. I showed it to a few antique shops, but they had no idea. It has no distinct markings. It's very light and I think it may be porcelain. It's about 4 inches tall and about 3 inches at the widest spot. The person I bought it from just said it was her daughter's who traveled a lot. Is this an artist's creation or a mass produced item? Any idea of age? One antique dealer thought it may be from the 1930s. Any thoughts would be appreciated or a suggestion of where else to post this.

Received randomly at the Bank today. It's a keeper to me... What U Say?

Is this a quad binary, or what is it called besides a 10 spot. I also noticed the second 08 in the upper serial number doesn't align with the other numbers.

Mail Call: Canadian Silver 1oz 2026 Color Ultra High Relief Maple

I posted that I purchased this 4 days ago from the RCM and I received it today. Mighty fast I'd say! For the Americans, I was not charged a tariff fee... Whew!

As expected, beautiful colors, but I can't get a great picture off my phone. I posted the best I could get, but it doesn't do a great job of catching all the color.

For the curious, I received #4311/11000.

I have an awful addiction... I need help!

I collect some silver, but I don't consider myself a frequent buyer and I keep within my budget, but then this happened yesterday. I saw this seductive, sexy, gorgeous, provocative hunk of shiny. I initially resisted and reluctantly put it out of my mind. Then, later in the day, we happen to cross paths again, but this time I noticed they only made 777 of them and the seller that had dozens of them, only had one left. My brain immediately went to... it's now or never... It should have been never, but her allure was too powerful. She was a very expensive 1oz, but she's one of the special ones. Yes, I fell in 💗😍 and bought her. How can I stop myself next time as I'm sure there will be a next time?

Spider for those Spiderman fans

Who remembers Spider from 1980? One of my favorite songs from High School. Riding on the coattails of Blondie and Pat Benetar, but some great power pop. I have both of their LPs and a third where they changed their name to Shanghai. All three great spins. One of the first MTV videos too. Band included the great Holly Knight and Anton Fig.

Everyone See the new 2026 Color Ultra High Relief Maple?

The price is high for an ounce of silver ($260. CA), but I'm a sucker for these beauties, so I had to buy one. 😍 I would've liked to see these in a 5oz version tho... would have been an eye opening show stopper imo. Can't wait to receive this stunner.

Historical Tombstone 1824 to 1901

Received in change today. I found a few significant lives with these dates, but they're generally lost to history unless you're a history buff. You can Google to identify them.

Anybody Ever Seen or Heard this Elvis radio show?

This may cause a ruckus in this sub-reddit, but I recently found an unusual Elvis LP at a store clearance sale. I couldn't find this anywhere on-line including record collectors websites.

It seems to be from 1980 as I found other similar radio shows from other Country artists about that time. It obviously came out of a radio station.

What I find amusing is the warning to DISTROY the record after broadcast. 🤣 It appears unplayed, so is this the only one left in existence?

It also includes ads from Hamburger Helper and Levi's. The whole LP is almost an hour long. I like the early Elvis song selections too.

Where are the hard-core Elvis collectors that can give me some insight on rarity and value?

Am I in trouble for not DISTROYING it? Can somebody clarify how much DISTROYING MUST be done? Is blowing it to smithereens enough? 💥💥💥🤣🤣🤣
