It's only been like 125 years since Victorian era but people nowadays mostly have negative opinion about them compere to 20th century people.
Well i don't know why it isn't been not that long but like 98% of the all the moral, ideology, scientific theories, technology and culture practices that we do now comes from or build is foundation of Victorian era they were people like us you can see many personal diaries and photos from that era yet many people think of them as puritan or lot of things associated with them is purtian for some reason? Obviously lot of people were born in that era and their life was very different from eachother and They were human beings navigating a rapidly changing, industrial world not walking, talking statues of morality. I don't know were all the negative stereotypes and generalized image that era comes from.
