I have been world building for months and throwing it all away
I have been working on the world of Ekleathia for some time now and have mapped out multiple settlements and a dynasty along with dozens of NPCs and POIs and I can't wait to completely scrap it all or flip it all on its head.
I have decided that I am not satisfied with a high fantasy setting anymore and want to try something completely different.
I am going to convert my world into a Colonial/Age of Sail setting with low magic and lots of gun powder.
The Caldrian Empire has finally made the great crossing south into Ekleathia and established 7 colonials on its northern coast. Inspired by the real finding of the New World in the Americas but with magic, elves, and a group of murder hobos.
Think Greedfall, Assassin's Creed 3/4, or New World MMO
Can anyone give me some insight to draw inspiration from?
I have tried to find some worlds set in Colonial Fantasy/Flintlock Fantasy and so on.
I either find DnD rules for just Napoleonic warfare or discussion on rules about gunpowder in general.
Tldr, I am switching from high fantasy to low colonial fantasy
