Hi everyone! I’m a writer currently revising an adult epic fantasy novel, and I’m looking for someone who’s knowledgeable about armor. (I know absolutely nothing.)

The armor in my world is definitely fantasy in style, not historically exact, but I want it to feel believable and grounded in real-world principles. I have a general idea but so far I feel like when I want to get descriptive I struggle to narrow it down, I now want a very clear picture. I’m hoping to find someone who enjoys discussing armor and wouldn’t mind answering questions, giving feedback, or any input as I refine my designs. I’m passionate about my book so I’d be looking for someone who’s passionate as well and easy to talk to. :)

This is my first novel, and after multiple rounds of self-editing(I am not a grammar expert), I feel it’s ready for fresh eyes before I move forward.

The story follows twin brothers who are suddenly thrust into positions of power after tragedy shatters their family. Born into the only family without magic—yet uniquely resistant to it—and bound to soul-forged swords. They must defend their world from the Malikor, an ancient enemy breaching the barrier that has protected it for centuries. Forced to lead their people through a war they never expected to face, the brothers must discover what kind of leaders they will become.

Bladeborne explores how grief, relationships, and responsibility can forge heroes—or break them.
