Pictures of new (and expanded) bike parking going in near North Ave dining hall, CULC, and the Instructional Center. I'm glad the Institute and SGA are working together to continue to improve biking conditions on campus!
MATA trustee Roderick Holmes announced a new bus stop sign design during a presentation about efforts to improve bus reliability at the Aug 4 City Council Committee Meetings. He said that the sign was designed internally with input from community partners. (Holmes' presentation in the meeting VOD starts at 4:55:40. He discusses the signs at 5:03:08)
I'm super excited! I've been advocating for this type of redesign that includes route info since 2022 (and even posted about it here a couple years ago). Let me know if anyone sees one of these new signs in the wild!

Cranes in Frayser are a sight for sore eyes! Lots of progress on building the cinder block walls at Frayser-Trezevant Community School (Aka Frayser High) this month. The roof and wall-weatherproofing teams are following shortly behind. I can't tell whether the portion on the right is a gym or an auditorium.

Spotted this jet over Frayser. I thought it was for the Mid South Air Show, but it is actually a training flight* from Vance AFB in Oklahoma. Also the air show unfortunately isn't happening this year.
*My educated guess
I'm a bike rider who is just curious what this trigger on a scooter is for. It isn't connected to anything afaik.
