Finally pursuing art for my game

I FINALLY started the ball rolling to get art assets made for my board game. I've procrastinated my way around this issue about as long as possible, as it's really the only step where I've needed to hire out help rather than do it myself. I even spent 3 months dedicated to learning art, but unfortunately I did not have a knack for the skill. Despite the inherent fear of making a significant financial investment, I'm really quite excited to take the game from a thoroughly playtested set of rules and graphic design into a real ass game.

PTR Protoss Build Order

-gateway
-gas + warpgate research
-expand
-cyber core, 2nd gateway, double produce nonstop
-2nd gas, forges/twiglight
-hit right as upgrades finish

I tried out a 2gate early expand build on Protoss and it feels really quite crispy. 2 chronos on probes, chrono warp gate research and double produce gateway units. Get forge upgrades and twilight for zealot legs, and you can slam with a huge 1-1 push around 7-8 minute. Don’t really need more than 2 gateways with how fast the new production is

C4 Nerf On Player Boats

C4 is an issue with deep sea boats -> boats can be sunk with 4-8 C4 in around the same amount of time it takes to F1 kill. Boats are limited in HP by the power/mass system, with an upper limit of ~4k hp (8 C4) for boats to maintain max speed.

Cannon fights are also incredibly exciting and fun. ramming ships, taking control of decks, chases. Those are some of the most fun i've ever had in Rust.

Idea: Non-cannon explosives do 90% reduced damage to boat constructions. Damage unaffected to deployables, doors, etc.
