I understand the frustration with new technology. Imagine writing a seventy page thesis on an Apple II C where every ninety seconds you’d have to remove a floppy disk and replace it with another to complete an operation and then replace it with the first disk again because the ROM on the CPU was so limited. Or your Hayes 1200 baud smart modem couldn’t maintain an internet connection.

These quirks concerning Alexa will eventually work out or Amazon will have to concede defeat to a better product. These quirks concerning solution just requires determination and patience.

Is there any credible evidence that Alexa listens to random conversations without the need for the wake word?

I was up this morning before the sun was completely risen. As I passed my Echo Show 21 I saw a bright flash of light come from the direction of the screen. Did it just take my photo? And if so, what did it do with the photo?

So, I purchased an Amazon Echo Show 21 last month and downloaded widgets to stream Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. Today I tried to watch something on Netflix and it wants me to subscribe for $7.99/month. I tried to log on thinking I could enter my Sony TV/iPhone password but it wouldn’t accept that. Do I need a second Netflix subscription to view it on an echo?

I know that after a period of time with no activity such as people walking past an Echo Show 21, Alexa + shows a photo rotation. It is currently 9:30 pm, the screen is blank except for the time, temperature and date. I tried moving around the unit but did not call Alexa or use the remote. It did not “wake up” to the widgets page. I did not program a routine. Does it automatically fall asleep at some point?

Does anyone using Elementor for a blog have comments posted but when you open the command on your dashboard, you see one squirrelly looking URL? Is this a bot?
