To him

I really liked you. I knew I was waiting at the station for a train that would never arrive, to over simplify it. In my daydreams, you choose me. But if you ever did in real life, I can't guarantee I wouldn't stay right where I'm at, in my comfort zone.

I hope you are actually happy. I recognized you from the last life, so now I wonder if I'll recognize you in the next.

Goodbye.

Update on treatment & a huge thank you

Thank you guys so much for your support on my previous post, it really helped me get through (I don't know how to link that post here lmao).

Last night I took my final dose of Pylera 🥳

Overall my experience looked like this: pretty fatigued and achey by day 5 (when I originally posted for advice and support), then days 6 and 7 were ABSOLUTE HELL with dizziness, fatigue, aches, nausea, and mental fog. I did not leave bed at all except to go to the bathroom because I was so weak!!

Then the last 3 days somehow got progressively better in the fatigue department and today I feel kinda okay. I feel a bit like a wrung out washrag, but hey, definitely up and out of bed so that's great!!

I feel pretty lucky I never got any severe digestive symptoms like vomiting or diarrhea. In fact it felt like I was finally pooing again after months of miserable intermittent constipation. H pylori is so damn strange like that, it seems everyone's experience with the pathogen and treatment is unique.

Anyway thank you for the support from this sub🧡, I hope to god I'm clear on my endoscopy coming up!!

halfway through treatment..

...does anyone have any words of encouragement or advice for me? I know things could be a lot worse, but I'm feeling pretty down right about now. (Thanks for reading and sorry for complaining, in advance 😭)

I'm not entirely sure what's normal and what isn't. Overall, I've got limited information between my doctor, this sub, and AI enshittified Google...

I've been on Pylera for 5 days now and the total body aches after dose 3 every day is KILLIN me. By dose 4, I'm ready to cry (and have!). The fatigue & general malaise shit is so bad I'm not able to exercise or do much at all, which is draining my mental state. I'm not seeing any huge improvements, and dealing with this antibiotic on top of my regular chronic pain is just Hell. I'd say the only small improvement I've seen is I'm a little less bloated in the morning now. Otherwise, everything still sucks.

I have an upper endoscopy one month after I finish this antibiotic. I'm nervous about what to expect with that, too.

Anyway just needed to bitch and moan.
