Lumbar stenosis and calf fasciculations

Hi everyone. I have degenerative disk disease, spinal stenosis, osteophytes and a congenitally narrow spinal opening. I also have knee arthritis. I have knee pain and now having fasciculations in my calf muscles on the knee pain side (right) and my right calf is an inch smaller than my left. Spine Doctor said take care of the knee first because its too hard to tell exactly which spinal nerve is causing me problems. Knee Doctor says to have knee replacement. But it appears they don't communicate even though they work from the same ortho office. The fasciculations are new.

I feel like I need a team to work together to look at both my leg and my back or I am never going to get the help I need. Does anyone have any suggestions that might help? I'm 58 years old.

Depression

Im getting more and more depressed. My knee has gotten worse and worse over the last year. I need to lose about 15 more pounds to qualify for TKR. I am trying absolutely everything. My weight is not budging. Ive used GLP-1s, keto, CICO, swimming, fasting etc. Thyroid is fine. I'm single and 58. I have said no to so many invitations because I can't walk or stand long enough. My house is messy. I cannot even shop for my own groceries. I don't have anyone here who can help me and i don't want to ask or burden anyone. My finances suck but im working extra remote sit down jobs and paying people to do things I can't do. I used to be very active. I just feel so stuck and isolated and pathetic. Ive tried a long time to keep my mood up and just push through but some days I don't have the motivation to keep trying

Best brace while waiting

I need a right knee replacement but have to lose weight first. I've had Visco and steroid injections. My knee feels unstable and I can't even walk enough to grocery shop. I have a knee sleeve and wrap i bought but need a brace. Dr hasn't given me one. Should they? Can anyone recommend a good brace for stability?

Help please - 58F very overweight but very serious

Hi everyone! Ive done keto before and it was great. I stopped and gained the weight back.

I'm 5'9" 288 pounds. I have a sedentary job. I was very active until probably 10 years ago. Now I have a bad knee that might need replacement and degenerative disks and might end up needing a laminrctomy. I can't even grocery shop anymore and have everything delivered. I cook and clean in 10 minute increments because my back pain gets so severe. I'm very frustrated and very motivated.

I am on medication for diabetes. I have started back on very low carb keto. Ive started swimming and riding a stationary bike and considering adding a weight lifting routine. There's a lot I can't do right now but also a lot I CAN do. I am planning to start with mostly beef and eggs and maybe some fresh spinach and onions. I understand how to supplement with electrolytes. I do NOT understand how to calculate macros.

I want to lose weight and get stronger. I might need surgery but I want to go into surgery less overweight and stronger.

I'm angry at myself for getting to this point when I used to be so active. I welcome any advice and suggestions for how to reach my goals.

Thanks everyone
