Is the RF 100-400 F5.6-8 IS USM a good starter budget lens for cricket photography?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to get into cricket photography and was thinking of getting the Canon RF 100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM as my first telephoto lens. Ps- I don't want to spend too much money to start please.

I’m currently using an R6 Mark II with the RF 28-70mm f/2.8 and RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1. I mainly do weddings and events.

Would the 100-400 be a good starting lens for cricket? I’ll mostly be starting with local/club cricket for now.

If you’ve used it for cricket, I’d love to hear your experience. Is there anything else around the same budget I should consider?

Thank you in Advance

Sixes aren't going long enough?

Hey guys, I am playing a career mode and I am playing in mid difficulty. I noticed that the sixes are just going over the boundary even though everything (timing, and shot selection) is good.

Is there something I am missing here? Please help

Can we please discuss why and who is Backing Prasidh in the team?

He is having one of the worst economies in the ODIs and T20s. He has been given more than enough chances now. I am sure, we have some great alternatives. He is getting smashed around the ground by all the teams in white ball. Not against him, but others definitely deserve a chance.

Appreciation Post *Spoilers*

Warning ⚠️ Please read only when you have finished both parts.

I am just overwhelmed by how good the game was made. Every little detail, cinematography, and character building.

When I started playing, I wanted to finish the game, but when the end was near, my heart wanted more.

In the end, when Ellie was almost about to kill Abby, Naughty Dog played with our emotions by not giving us any options to stop it 😭.

Does anyone else feel the same?

I stopped watching Mr. Robot after season 1. Should I continue?

Hey Guys,

I watched the first season a long ago I guess in 2018, but I remember the bits and pieces. I somehow found it a bit long and boring at the time. I never thought about continueing actually.

But I recently, saw some amazing posts about the finale and it made me think if I should continue again?

Trying to choose between Watch Fit 4 and Fit 4 Pro.

From what I’ve seen, both seem to do pretty much the same things day to day. do they have good build quality? I had Amazfit bip 6 for 15 days, and the build was terrible, I started having scratches and dents.

I’ve been going back and forth on this for a while now. I mainly want something reliable for daily use — steps, calories, sleep, basic workouts, notifications, etc. Nothing too hardcore.

I care more about comfort, consistency and something that just works without issues rather than extra features I might never touch.

Also I’m using a OnePlus 12, so it should work fine on Android right? I’ve seen some people mention issues with iPhones.

Has anyone used both? Is the Pro actually worth it or does the normal Fit 4 do the job just fine?

Confused between OnePlus Watch 2, Amazfit Active 2 and Xiaomi Watch S4. My budget is £130.

I’ve had Amazfit bip 6 for 20days and honestly didn’t like the build quality, so this time I’m leaning more towards the OnePlus Watch 2.

I basically need daily use, calorie count, steps, decent sleep tracking, apps like to do, reminder.

On paper it looks like the best option – proper smartwatch, apps, message replies, good battery and better build compared to the others. But I’ve been seeing mixed reviews lately.

Is it still worth buying in 2026?
I’ve seen people mention notification bugs and battery drain after updates, so a bit unsure now.

Anyone here using it currently? How’s the real experience day to day?
