I need help.

I honestly don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but I feel like my curls are NOT cooperating.

I’ve noticed that my curl patterns are also completely different in the front and back. Some sections are nicely curly, while others are almost straight. My hair also looks wet in the photo, but I promise it’s actually completely dry. A lot of the curls just aren’t defined at all.

This is usually my routine:

• Shampoo every other day: Aussie Miracle Curls

• Conditioner daily: Aussie Miracle Curls

• Clarifying shampoo once a week: Paul Mitchell

• Hair mask once a week: Kitsch Treatment Hair Mask

• Leave-in: Carol’s Daughter

• Gel: Ultra Wonder Gel Crème

• Mousse: Herbal Essences

• Oil: Carol’s Daughter

After showering, I apply my leave-in, then gel, followed by mousse. I use a curl bounce brush to define the curls, then scrunch. I diffuse until my hair is about 70% dry and let the rest air-dry. Once it’s completely dry, I add a little hair oil and scrunch again.

Am I using too many products? Is the order wrong? Could product buildup be causing the lack of definition? Or do I just need different products?

And is it normal for the front and back of your hair to have such different curl patterns?

I’d really appreciate any advice on what I should change because I feel like I’m doing ALL the things and my curls are still like, “Nope.”

LUNCHES for my seond grader & kindergarterner this week

Lunches I made for my kids this week. I forgot to take a picture on Wednesday (third pic), so I just took a quick pic of their lunchboxes afterward. I also added the Taro bun photo for the visuals (4th photo). They always come home empty anyway, so I guess that’s what matters!

Lunches I made for my kindergartener and second grader this week

Packing lunches is a lot of work, so seeing those empty lunchboxes come home makes it all worth it. Zero leftovers this week!

MONDAY TO FRIDAY LUNCHES

Lunches for my 2nd grader and kindergartener.

A little bit of planning, a lot of cooking, and a whole lotta love in every lunchbox. Because feeding my babies is one of my favorite ways to show them I love them.
