When r/lostredditors and r/choosingbeggars collide
Being so skint you can't afford to eat is not a position I wish on anybody.
Wanting free money to have coffee and a 'nice sandwich' at work is not a hardship.
Hilarious.

Just a quick one, I recieved a new work laptop and was given the opportunity to purchase my old one at a very reasonable rate - £75 for a 2020 Macbook Pro M1 8GB with half a terrabyte of storage.
Now, I'm PC through and through, I have a work windows PC in my home office, a flight simulator/gaming PC in another room, I have a great Samsung Tablet that really acts as my laptop, and a Galaxy Fold 7 as my phone.
Other than using my work laptop for Zoom calls (and doing everything else on my PC desktop) and briefly owning an iPhone 4 back in the day, I've never owned anything Apple.
Obviously, I could use it for web browsing, or I could sell it and maybe make £200-300 profit on it, which would be nice.
But it's a gorgeous bit of hardware, so I'm asking the good people of r/Mac what are some other uses for an older but mint condition Macbook Pro for someone who's never dipped their toe into the Mac world before?
Thanks all!
Edit: Thanks for everyone's input. The TL;DR is that it doesn't do anything that Windows machines don't, at least not in my world, and I've found an online retailer that'll buy it for £380, 5x what I paid for it, and I can put the money towards my flight simulator hobby and buy a new force-feedback yoke, and treat it as a gift from my employer for long-term service.
£112 face value each - make me an offer!
My partner is ill and can't attend and I need to stay home and look after her.
I was initially excited for the console release, thinking my friends who don't have gaming PCs (or don't want to/have a thousand pounds plus to spend on one) can play the game and join me, or I join them.
But also, as a player on one of the most populated and chaotic servers - Pax, Europe - I absolutely see the logic in restricting it.
Dune Awakening has had many player-created issues, from PvP griefing using lasguns and bases being destroyed to the economy being absolutely broken and ruined by dupers.
There was a time you could sell Melange for 500k a piece and it would have sold before you'd changed to look at the screen to see if you listing was sold.
Prices are absolutely ludicrous still, often a billion for many items.
There are unfortunately roving packs of griefing players, often but not exclusively Russian, who roam the PvP desert using scout surfing to ensure you cannot fight them fairly, and essentially making flying there an unwinnable death sentence.
They also go into PvE and use thumpers, suspensors and shields to call worms in on players trying to gather spice.
Should you engage in PvP, you're up against players who have very high levels of specialisations, the best gear in the game, and some whose only form of entertainment is seal clubbing newer players.
Until these things can be brought under control, there needs to be a separation of new console players and older servers and characters.
No new players should be plunged into this maelstrom.
I hope it changes in the future, but for now, I understand why that decision would make sense.
I wish it weren't that way, but having seen the ways a small contingent of loud players really do ruin things for everyone, protecting the future of the game and a stream of new players is more important for Dune Awakening's future than crossplay on mature servers.
The new single player mode is a good step. Conan Exiles works fine with the approach: learn the ropes on single player, be able to pause your game, and then when you're ready, start a character for online servers.
I see lots of people declaring 'the game is dead'. Well, lets see about that.
They said we'd be getting the PvE DD in April!
This patch also includes Overland Testing Station balance fixes for playing with more than one person, and better loot drops too.
Still no news on server closures and merges yet.
