I painted this mermaid inspired in Chagall Nice posters and some details from klimt’s style 🎨🧜♀️ I was going to paint it on a mug with acrylics (that is the reason of the theme) but ended in gouache 🫶
I used Holbein gouache on canson montval papel.

On ghibli’s website they share some keyframes of each one of their movies. There are a lot of beautiful scenes to practice gouache and this a one of them 🩷
I wanted to warm up and practice the face of the bird before starting the final one. I think it came very well now I’m more confident 😊
