Media Bias Chart
Hadn't heard about this centrist BS in a long time. I assumed they had stopped existing.
Which one is the most egregious? Mine is probably Rev Left Radio. I listened to them for a bit and I was pretty mixed about it but they are nowhere near as misleading as Dave Rubin
Dream casting for Xaden for a Fourth Wing Movie
He seems perfect for the role.
He is a little old >!and also dead!< but Xaden is something of a Samurai Cop so I think he's perfect
P4 Struggles
Sorry for another promo thread but I could use some advice.
I've been at Collins for almost 8 years with 10 years experience with another company. I got hired on as a P3 and got kinda stuck there despite stellar performance reviews and finally got an inline P4 promo in 2024. I'm still getting excellent reviews and I'm aiming for a P5 but I'm not sure the best route to take to get there.
I found an internal P5 rec that looked promising but after an informal interview and the hiring manager talking to my current manager, they didn't feel comfortable offering a P5 but they were happy to offer a P4. My current manager says that they would expect me to get a promo in the next year but I don't really want to get strung along hoping for it when I could maybe expect the same in another (more interesting) position.
Should I jump ship or stay where I am?
Dudes Reading Pride and Prejudice
So long before I met my wife. I had read P&P well over 10 times. And watched both the movie and the TV series just as many time . This was a yearly tradition in my family.
After marriage this has become my wife's and mine tradition.
This is still to date my #1 movie when I am on a plane. When I am sick or when I am bored.
The best way I can describe why I read and watch it so much is: Its a action book and an action movie and a comedy. The actions is found in the words exchanged between the characters, the dialog is both tense, hilarious and awkward at the same.
Our pets were name Mr. Darcy ( rat) , Jane ( rat) and Mr. Bingley ( Chinchilla) .
There are other movie and books I will read. Favorite being Die Hard, Rambo, Braveheart and Patriot and #2 on my list for books is anything by P.G. Wodehouse.
Bike Trail Recommendations
I'm planning on taking my kids on a bike trip this summer and I need some recommendations around the state. I went on the High Trestle Trail last year and it was great but I'd like to try out others. The kids are fairly young so here's my criteria:
- ~20-30 miles round trip (can be either a loop or go somewhere and back)
- paved and relatively flat
- stuff along the way like towns or other things to stop at for breaks
- biking along roads kept to a minimum
