made these watercolor sketches while waiting for these to arrive, didnt have the energy to do each sample but i did the ones i was most excited by!! i'll get to the point because there's quite a few. i've been avoiding blind buying and thought these samples would be safe but boy was I wrong about what I thought I wanted...disclaimers -- my scent profile is:

love: powdery, green, aquatic, lactonic, some florals...

hate: white florals, spiciness, super sweet scents

pierrotperfumery:

-the butcher's daughter: it's...just.. not what i expected 💔 it came off as cleaning supplies to me and im not into it at all. i built it up in my head to be florals + salty vibes but it fell short. im a big fan of the show and sadly neither scent came across as "hannibal" themed to me.

-person suit: another letdown 💔 been reading great reviews on this and as a fig lover i was so excited to try this one but i barely smell anything and what i do smell is more green tea than fig. destashing unfortunately. i will still try more pierrot in the future though bc my husband loves *the shire* and it's a beautiful scent.

cardinal scents:

-body double: so fun and interesting! the styrofoam note is very noticeable and i love it haha. this is a fun one to wear around the house, idk that i'd full size but i will be finishing the sample. the new clothes smell and the iris are so pretty, also the warm paper note?? idk how they did it but they nailed it. as an iris lover this is a super fun take on iris.

-familiar spirit: milky sage, lovely!!! it feels therapeutic. i put this sample on when im tidying up around the house. feels like a warm embrace from a fairy spirit. likely would FS, im waiting to see if they come out w new scents bc i remember reading on here that their website had a massive sale followed by a shutdown...

arcana wildcraft:

-grimhildr: way too much rose, it's all i smell. immediately no, even though i love rose 💔i wanted a hint of rose and more fir, moss and greenness.

-daydreams of trees: another letdown, i wanted a fir scent but this came across way too lavendery and the other notes muddied on my skin, can't tell anything apart but the lavender. i like lavender but this is too much. so far not into this house which sucks cause its so popular here..maybe ill try some again at some point.

^(^^my thought process here was that i want a scent that smells like northern california in the winter. or at least a winter forest, not just a manly pine scent but maybe a unisex/leaning feminine take on woodsy scents. i love the balsam fir handsoap from costco and was hoping to find something like that in these two but i chose wrong! the search continues.)

lovesick witchery:

^(waited almost 3 months for this sample set and sadly was ultra disappointed. oils aren't usually my thing but this house has amazing reviews so i wanted to try:)

-bedsheet ghost: i pictured this in my head as a milky cozy scent, sweet but not cloying. i hate it 😞 it's so overwhelmingly sweet and the almond is so syrupy and thick i couldnt even spray it on my skin. it's like a very synthetic almond syrup and that's all i get. (but take this with a grain of salt bc i'm a gourmand hater usually)

-serene queen: i wanted to like it but there's something about the dna of this house that turns their scents bubblegummy to me..i barely smell a floral citrus and then i smell bubblegum.

-ashes of roses: again, whiff of rose and just bubblegum.. 💔

-the libra: nice, not as aquatic as i hoped it be though, feels more like what i put into a humidifier. turned bubblegummy later tho 💔

-peculiar thing: sharp, clean and greeeen. i imagined a milky rice with greenness, kinda like fichi e panna from kyse. sadly this is not my thing, there's something in here that comes across musty. i didn't get much fig, mostly pear and some mustiness.

astrid

-coquette: nOooOooO i wanted to love this so bad. the skin milk note had me so curious but unfortunately on me it's all pistachio. it smells almost like those amazon perfumes (khair pistachio in particular, which I used to like before i got into indie).. just way too sweet and cloying for me.

-rainy garden: so nice! i don't get much rain per se, but the mix of florals is lovely and for once the rose doesn't outshine everyone else. they did a great job balancing these out and adding a bit of rain to it. not full sizing bc it doesn't feel groundbreaking to me, i feel like i could find this in an EDP (my preference) from another house. still finishing the sample bc it's lovely tho 😄

wylde ivy retired scents

can anyone pleaaaase drop some reviews on wylde ivy’s special order scents? i’m so curious about these specifically but want to read any reviews tbh!

•A Ghost Story" Halloween Love Collection Fragrance

A haunting and sheer fragrance, both beautiful and a little sad.

Soft notes of white musk, vanilla orchid, raw vanilla beans, tonka bean, bergamot, vanilla infused sugar, heliotrope, black plum, and night violets

•"Abominably Adorable" Halloween Love Collection Fragrance

Abominably Adorable is sweet, warm, and utterly inviting. The scent of fire scorched marshmallows, steamed vanilla infused milk, a touch of fire warmed white amber, and a whisper of crushed alpine flowers

•Aventurine" A Crystal Collection Fragrance

A fresh, green, optimistic fragrance of watered greens, sweet cactus waters, healing aloe, and hints of white sage and orange flower. Notes of sweet fresh cut cactus leaves, aloe water, agave nectar, sweet ozone, pink pomelo, white sage, and fresh bergamot.

•"Fir and Frost" Winter Story Collection

Heavy morning frost feathers its way up the window panes, drawing delicate crystal curls on the glass. Outside the fir boughs hang heavy with the deep cold. The rising December sun filters through the pine trees, glittering like diamonds.

Frost kissed fir boughs with a touch of white amber, aged cedarwood, warm tonka beans, snowflakes, and dried vanilla.

Cool and crisp, a fresh unisex fragrance of a pine forest wrapped in pure white December snow.

*this one i’m SO tempted to blind buy*

•Sea Glass & Linen"

Like the cool blue and green hues of tumbled sea glass and the sweet softness of line dried linen an ethereal blend of white musk, ocean mist, bergamot, rain drenched orchids, night blooming jasmine, sweet cotton, and ozone. Sea Glass & Linen is delicate, sweet, fresh, powdery, and oh so feminine

i love wylde ivy’s summer scents, specifically Pearl dust!! i wonder if their cooler weather scents hold up as well, and how their aquatics are..

thanks everyone! :)

Cocoapink bringing back retired scents

Got this newsletter I thought I’d share!

“Long Lost Loves

You've asked now we deliver!

May 15th - May 17th

Noon to Midnight Eastern Time

We receive so many requests to bring back your favorite discontinued scents. So May 15th - 17th is the time to grab a few.

We asked on socials what scents you really missed and wanted to see return and we got a lot of great responses. Most, we had plenty of stock to remake, others unfortunately are all gone. If your favorite scent is not listed, we were unable to remake it. Some of the list is very limited, like extremely limited. We will email you if we do not have enough of the blend to fill your orders. Please look out for those and if we don't hear from you we will issue a refund for the items we can not fulfill. We would like to ask that multiples of the very limited scents are not ordered. We would like to be fair to everyone and there just isn't enough to go around.

This isn’t a ‘sale’ sale, there aren’t any discounts, it’s just a fun thing to back some old lost loves for a day.

Discontinued scents won't be available as 2.5 ml sample vials as they'll be discontinued again so it wouldn’t make sense.

We fulfill all orders in the order we get them (which is fairest) so in the case of limited supplies it's first come first served.

The discontinued scents will be added to the bottom of all the drop-down menus (except 2.5 ml vials) - so please scroll all the way to the bottom to find them. They will not be added to the site until the event starts, May 15th Eastern time, so don’t look for them there yet.

The website will be briefly closed before and after the event as we add/remove the extra scents. We have a page on the website with all the scents that will be available and the notes of these scents as well which you can check out here: Long Lost Loves 2026.”

Anyone tried these and care to share their favorites? I’ve never tried cocoapink beyond a couple samples due to their long TAT but these sound fun!

hi everyone, i got some beautiful scents from DSH from their UPCYCL sale and I wanted to share. DSH is criminally underreviewed on this sub and I need to do my part spreading the word so -- I was at first confused/intimidated by their website and ordering process for the UPCYCL sale and some archive scents but after messing around with my cart here and there I don't find it THAT daunting anymore.

context -- the scents offered in this sale are OOAK + packaged in upcycled materials from their studio, priced 50% off and are gone forever once the bottle you purchase is gone. i'm not savvy enough to blind buy a 30ml+ from them (but it'd have been a great deal, their quality is top notch) so I got a 5ml sample size and a 10 ml travel size 😄

-Rare orchid - bamboo leaves accord, waterlily, green orchid, rose, coconut water accord, white rice accord, sandalwood, and musk.)

i got the 10 ml. this is gorgeous. it's quiet and pretty, wet and floral. the coconut water accord is crazy realistic and i loove how the flowers play with the green in it. perfect choice! i'd call this a quiet and shy cousin to Sorce - "The things unsaid"..this one is a very muted and personal scent, evocative of sitting in a shaded bench at your favorite botanical garden, surrounded by gorgeous flowers and a pond. it feels feminine and dainty, not too floral and not too green or aquatic, DSH is great at striking a balance between genres if you will.

beautiful! if the bigger size wasn't gone i'd likely go back to get it 💔

-Red Suede no.9459 – modern. fruity – warm – leather. notes: bergamot, peach skin, dried fig accord, rose, jasmine, orris, sandalwood, hinoki, labdanum, leather, and musk

I got the 5 ml sample spray, this is super sexy and leathery. i really like leather even though my skin amps it up to the point i can't distinguish anything else.. i haven't tried this one enough yet to judge if i notice all the other notes but I think it'll be a nice date night scent. definitely aptly named.

and on to the samples Dawn was extremely generous with:

-Waterlily, 1990: a fresh yet sweet, green lily perfume. An Eastern delicacy; the floating enchantment of the majestic water nymphaea Lotus. It’s both beautifully airy and slightly watery at the same time with cool green nuances in the top note with a rich floral heart.

this is beautiful, another hit!!! i plan on getting the body massage oil in this scent, it feels EXACTLY as described , airy and watery as if you're getting close to the flower floating in water and then smell its center. love!!!

-Peony, 2013: A multifaceted Peony soliflore perfume with a deep, lush rose-tinted drydown.

gorg gorg gorg. simple and clean. a bouquet fresh peonies and roses on the drydown, delicate and elegant.

-L'or(ris): Born from a dream, this is a gilded interpretation of Iris. A shimmering prosecco and gold leaf topnote opens to a rich and opulent orris heart, and a creamy, ambrette and sandalwood accord in the drydown.

very nice! the prosecco feels almost scratchy but i'm biased bc i'm not into fizzy notes..the orris heart is RICH..the creamy ambrette and sandalwood on the drydown are so gorgeous, it reminds me of escentric molecules - molecule 01 + iris, one of my favorite scents ever. this is a safe sample and even blind buy for true iris lovers.

-Shimotsuki: A delicate and snowy soft perfume with frosty freshness in the topnote, a contemplative hawthorn and orris heart, and dry woods in the base.

this is unlike anything i've ever smelled. if touching buttery soft snow was a feeling this would be it..it's fresh and frosty and the sweetness from the orris makes it so cozy, there's something of an animalic texture that i love...reminds me of my puppy's fur when i smell him and it makes me smile. the sample is in dabber format 💔 i wish i could spray it all over my favorite sweater and jump in bed..but I also see myself wearing this to run errands when i'm feeling introverted. it's not loud or in your face, many DSH perfumes have this gorgeous personal quality to them that i love. i can see why this is in the "comfort" section in the website! i will have to FS this ASAP..it'll be my new fall/winter scent for sure! another hit! curiously, they have it available in the body massage oil format which i found interesting..if anyone's tried DSH's massage oil or the body lotions please share your thoughts, i'm eyeing avocado toast as a lotion as well!

that's all i got from dsh 😄 please share your reviews under this post if you got something from them you love!!
