Another guy almost bled out at a garbage match last weekend

This was of course at a GCW event, strange enough the Bank Addicted Drug Robber was on the card also.

It was an injury that happened with light tubes similar to what happened with Gage over twenty years ago.

The wrestler is expected to recover at an Atlantic City hospital.

Ari Emanuel, TKO/Endeavor CEO, makes an odd argument why less competition is good for his businesses

Just an odd, lizard-brained op-ed by Ari Emanuel about how Hollywood would benefit from this megamerger, despite the fact there would be less bidders on his films, television shows, and also WWE/UFC content.

I'm not sure if this is more of an attempt to starve out the AEW's of the world, but if TK was smart with his father's money, he'd start prepping for a civil antitrust suit against the likes of TKO and Emanuel and Shapiro seeing the amount of legal blunders this group tends to have in court.

It worked for MIchael Jordan last winter when battling NASCAR and The France Family.

Berwyn Eagles Club has a new owner. What does that mean for Chicago wrestling?

It is unknown if the new owners will host any wrestling events (or any garbage wrestling, specifically) once the renovation is completed.

Dark Side of the Ring’s Necro vs. Samoa Joe indie outlaw mudshow episode is next week

We might be reaching critical mass for how much Corny can take in terms of indie outlaw mudshow bullshit packed into one episode.

Here’s to hoping he blasts beyond his limits he had with the bank addicted drug robber episode.

I feel bad for Jim, but this is tremendous content.

WSJ: David Ellison is honing in on cutting sports rights post-WBD merger

TL;DR: The cost savings to pay down the massive WBD debt load looks to be from platform consolidation (think either Paramount+ or HBO Max, not both) and cutting down the sports portfolio.

The problem is with the the previous mergers (CBS/Paramount/Skydance) and WBD (Warners/Discovery), all the easy fat has been trimmed already, so deeper austerity cuts will need to happen, hence the target of the large sports portfolio. There isn’t much left to cut at this point.

TK says everything is great, though.

Matt Cardona is upset a GCW venue got replaced by a cheap mini golf course

Quick rundown: Matt Cardona’s back in Atlantic City for Smackdown, and he is unhappy online about how the old Showboat Carousel Room used for GCW shows pre-2023 was replaced with a very basic put put mini golf.

Instead, they put the freak show in the basement away from the hotel guests in a place called “The Terminal”, which was unused bus terminal and loading dock that used to shuttle casino guests between AC and New York and Philly.

At least the blood won’t stain any carpets down there.

Joey Janela To Bully Ray: Blow Me

I think Jelly means this literally seeing all the sexualized mudshow stuff Lauderdale puts on at Garbage Championship Wrestling these days.

In all seriousness, I wish both Jelly and Bully all the worst during this dispute.

If Forbidden Door doesn’t go off well, remember NJPW’s G1 in Chicago is three weeks away

There’s whole sections still unsold, and this taking place in Hoffman Estates’ 10,000 seat NOWarena.

Just a bleak picture for NJPW and their drawing power here in the States. It feels like they’ve gone fully Indie niche as Brian has mentioned before.

Jelly's bragging on Instagram about making $100K year from outlaw mudshows

>Never having to work a shoot job again, over 7 figures of income for me over the last 10 years.

This was the part that got me the most. Specifically Jelly Nutella not realizing we can do math and understand how the 1099 nature of the job works:

  1. Tony gave him the bulk of that money and to ghost his way to an AEW contract not being renewed.
  2. Doing dumb bumps like falling off a roof with John Zandig and getting injured, which takes a good chunk of that "made money" and puts it towards high health insurance premiums, med costs and rehab (of all kinds physical and addictive).

The worst part is Jelly trying to get other kids to "follow in his footsteps" rather than finding a career as an HVAC tech where you can make seven figures in six years, not ten, and not need to self mutilate yourself on your way to a funded retirement.

This guy continues to be an embarassment to the business as Corny would say.
