Made an honest mistake on my Census form — what should I do?
I think I may have misunderstood one of the questions when completing my Census.
I live alone in a unit within a larger residential property. When asked about the number of occupants, I assumed it was referring specifically to my unit, so I only included myself.
I’ve since realised the question may have been referring to the entire property, which has multiple occupants living in separate units.
I’ve already submitted the Census and can’t go back to edit it. Has anyone dealt with something similar? Was I correct to only count the people living in my individual unit, or do I need to contact the Census/ABS to correct it?
