Beginner Freelance Web Developer Questions (Student, No Budget)

Hi everyone 👋

I’m a student and I want to start freelancing as my main income source in the future, especially in website development. I’m starting from absolute zero and I have some basic questions. I’d really appreciate guidance from experienced people here 🙏

One more thing: I don’t really know coding yet. I only learned a little bit of WordPress before, so I’m still a complete beginner.

  1. How do I build my first website without spending money?

Right now I don’t earn anything, so I can’t invest much.

I heard hosting and domain can cost a lot (someone told me around ₹15k), so I’m confused.

Is there any free way to make and host websites while learning?

What should beginners do if they have no budget?

Which platforms/services should I use at the start?

  1. If I make a website on localhost, how can I show it to others?

Suppose I build a website locally on my computer using localhost.

How do I show it to clients or other people?

Do I need hosting for that?

Is there any free method to share demo projects/portfolio websites?

  1. How does the full client process work from zero?

This question is not super important right now, but I want to understand the overall workflow.

Like from absolute beginning:

How do you get a client?

What details do you ask from them?

How do you make the website?

How do you deliver it to the client?

What exactly do you give them at the end? (source code, hosting, domain, admin access, etc.)

Basically I want to understand the complete beginner-to-client process.

  1. How do developers keep websites secure?

This is another thing I’m worried about.

How do you make sure websites don’t get hacked?

What security things should beginners learn first?

Do clients expect security/maintenance too?

  1. Can someone suggest a roadmap to learn faster?

If possible, please suggest a beginner roadmap for web development + freelancing.

Like:

What should I learn first?

Frontend or backend first?

Which technologies are best in 2026?

How can I learn and start earning as quickly as possible?

Any proper roadmap, resources, or advice would mean a lot 🙏🏻

  1. Are there any communities for beginner web developers/freelancers?

Please suggest:

Reddit communities

Discord servers

Telegram groups

YouTube channels

Any place where beginners can learn freelancing and web development

Thanks in advance 🙌

I’m trying to learn seriously and build a future in freelancing.

Hi everyone,

I’m 21 and a student. I’m trying to build a solid credit profile so I can get an unsecured credit card later on.

My situation:

- Credit score: 788 (on one score app)

- No active credit card right now

- Earlier had an SBM Bank FD-backed card, but I closed it

- Tried applying for Axis, HDFC (including Swiggy HDFC), but got rejected

Now I’m planning to take an FD-based credit card again and use it properly to improve approval chances later.

Options I’m considering:

- Kotak Dream Different Credit Card

- Kotak 811 Super Credit Card

My goal:

Build a strong credit history so that after some time (6–12 months), I can easily get an unsecured credit card.

Questions:

  1. Which FD-backed card would be best in my case?

  2. Should I go with Kotak or consider any other bank?

  3. Any strategy/tips to increase chances of getting an unsecured card later?

I’m okay with waiting, just want the most reliable path.

Thanks in advance 🙏

Hi everyone,

I’m 21 years old, weight around 40 kg and height approx. 164 cm. I’m planning to get a full body checkup and wanted some guidance on what tests I should include.

In my area (Bihar), I have access to labs like Thyrocare, Dr Lal PathLabs, and PathoLab — so I can choose any of these.

I want to check all important vitamins and minerals like Vitamin D, B12, etc., along with general health markers.

My symptoms:

Pain in feet and hands

Burning sensation in feet and hands

Constant weakness (feels low energy all the time)

Knee pain occasionally, especially when I feel feverish

Frequent throat issues (even in summer, I get cold-like symptoms and sore throat)

Questions:

Which tests should I include in a “full body checkup”?

Since there are different packages, which type would be best for my condition?

What all tests are essential and should not be missed?

Are blood and urine tests enough

Approx cost of such tests in India (especially Bihar)?

Among Thyrocare, Dr Lal PathLabs, and PathoLab — which one would you recommend?

I want a proper checkup that covers deficiencies and possible causes of these symptoms.

Any advice or test list would be really helpful.

Thanks!
