Platinum silicone not curing, is epoxy or acrylic paint to blame?

I've done some molding and casting with platinum cure silicone, but for the first time the curing has failed with the surface remaining sticky goop. This is the first time I've used platinum cure silicone on epoxy clay painted with acrylic paints, which leads me to assume one or the other is to blame. But which one?

The epoxy clay was Apoxie Sculpt, and the sculpture is roughly a year old, absolutely totally cured. It was also fully painted using Vallejo acrylics, so there would be no direct contact between the epoxy and the silicone. That makes me suspect the paint rather than the epoxy, even though I haven't had this problem with painted plastic.

What I do know is the silicone itself hasn't gone bad, because there was some left over I used to make a skin texture mold from an old face cast. It cured well within the expected time, as did the residue in the mixing cup.

Which animal welfare items can you leave out?

There are two huge feeders in this image

Back when I first started building the Morrison Reserve I noticed that the game would complain about the lack of feeders, water sources and whatnot. Now that herbivores can feed from natural foliage, and everything seems to prefer drinking from natural water sources, I'm wondering if I need anything other than beds and breeding nests, and a few false log and stump feeders to provide broader nutrition?

I've already discovered which trees are the best for hiding sauropod feeders (there are two in the screencap, see if you spot them) but I'd prefer to eventually remove all artificial objects I can. I have no intention to create a full-blown ecosystem but rather to maintain a mega-enclosure where I can track the happiness of the animals, and make sure the plant life and amount of water are in the right balance.

Summer Fun at the Morrison

I took some pics while observing my lovely beasties at the Morrison Reserve on a hot humid day. I'm hardly getting any expansion work done because there's so much animal behavior to observe.

I got to see my first "big" fights when Stilton the male Camarasaurus turned seasonal bully and tried to stomp every dryosaur and baby dino it came across. Miraculously nobody died despite him really trying. And here I thought the Allosauruses were mean!

When does a forest stop being a forest?

Allosaurus anax enclosure in the foreground

I've pondering a question that's given me problems before: which plants add to the amount of forest in an enclosure, and which ones do not? Do some plants count under some circumstances but not others?

I ran into this problem again while trying to tweak the enclosure I made for Allosaurus anax to find its sweet spot, flora-wise. At first I had a mostly open landscape with the odd tree here and there, but the beast was convinced there was too much forest. I started deleting obvious trees and other plants that might qualify as trees despite being smaller variants of a treelike plant, but it didn't seem to make a difference.

The screencap I included shows the important parts of the enclosure in question. Everything I could imagine counting as a tree is visible there, and there's still too much forest for his highness king lizard-eater. I don't want to delete any of the hand-placed small trees yet if I can salvage things so I'd love to know which ones are most likely offending him.

Allosaurus fragilis toe problems

I tried for the first time take some closeup screencaps of my adult A. fragilis only to notice its feet looking weird. I went on to observe it in different environments and poses and there's for sure something weird going on with its second toe. Is this a common bug?

Help finding peer support for facial prosthesis?

After several unsuccessful surgeries I've accepted that a facial prosthesis is the most realistic option going forward. I actually taught myself the whole process of making a prosthetic nose, because I have serious trauma-related trust issues, but I'm struggling with it. I've had to make do with various guides to making disposable special effects. I need to reach a point where I can wear my prosthesis daily for multiple hours!

Does anyone here know where to find other people with first hand experience and expertise with facial prostheses who would be willing to help? I would of course appreciate being able to talk with someone dealing with the same challenges a huge deal, but I'd settle even for tips about what glues to use and what potential problems to be wary of.
