Mudlarked Jewellery!

I hope this is alright to post. If not, sorry mods, please delete!

I recently came across a mudlarker and artist, who makes jewellery with some of her finds. I bought a necklace with a piece of 18th century bone toothbrush on it! I don't personally know this person and I'm not affiliated with them in any way, but I thought I'd share her site, in case anyone is interested :D

I thought I'd sown too late, but it's turned out beautifully!

Got rid of all the weeds, brambles, goose grass and so on late last year. I rotavated and raked, and picked out so many pebbles and old crocks. Then life got busy and I kept putting back the time I could sow the wildflower seeds I'd got. I sowed in May! Today the little meadow is in almost full bloom, and covered in bees and butterflies. I'm in love with this bit of the garden again :-)

Got to eat gluten, going to make it worthwhile!

After 6 years gluten free, I'm having to be retested for coeliac and allergies, as I keep having allergic reactions AND coeliac reactions and no-one knows what I'm reacting to or what's going on. I was originally diagnosed by a doctor on symptoms alone, because I'd already cut out gluten by the time they tested for coeliac.

I joked with the nurse that I'm going to eat all the stuff I've missed the most. Oddly enough, that's a rich tea biscuit! You just can't get a decent gluten free one! I'd like to eat the bare minimum of gluten, so a biscuit a day feels manageable. I'd also maybe try a doughnut, and a pint of Guinness.

What would you have, if you had to eat gluten? What do you think is the least amount of gluten I could eat every day for six weeks?

If someone opposes planning permission, can the person who is seeking planning permission see who complained?

Would the person applying for planning permission see names and addresses of anyone who had opposed it?

Edit: simple answer, yes! Thanks folks, that was not what a quick search was telling me but I had a feeling it was wrong, and I knew Reddit would know :-)

Parents of school aged children, how often do you contact the school, and do you care if the school marks you down as a whinging willy?

I'm a teacher in a secondary school. I teach over 500 students at any one time. I don't hear a peep from the vast majority of parents, including not seeing them for parents evening. Then there's a few parents that do email when there's something we need to be in contact about. And then there's the one who emails or phones **all the time**. And it's always a question they've already had the answer to, or a complaint about something we should have done differently/better. I'm interested if *that* parent knows they get in touch more than anyone else, and cares about whether or not the staff have them on their radar as a moaning minnie/mickey?

Only bought one skein of this beautiful yarn, like a fool. What would you make with it? Something cute, like a keepsake, would be nice. My brain is a little frazzled as I'm poorly at the moment. Help a bro out?

I went away for a lovely long weekend with my gorgeous friends, and we accidentally went to an art and craft shop, and I accidentally looked at the yarn. Being short on luggage space, I only bought one skein home with me, what a fool I was. I want to make something that I can finish just with this yarn, and maybe a keepsake to remind me of my amazing friends and the great time we had together. I'm a bit under the weather at the mo, so my creative brain is not working that well. What would *you* make? Any suggestions gratefully received, thanks in advance!
