Looking for an international, not too common, girls name

Hi everyone,

Currently I am 24 weeks pregnant with a girl. I have a son named Owen. I’m looking for a girls name with 2/3 syllables. I am open for a one syllable name, but don’t prefer. I don’t want it to start with an O, and our last name starts with a V and is 3 syllables. The name can start with a V tough.
We live in the Netherlands, my mom can’t pronounce that great. She has trouble pronouncing my boyfriends name and called Owen Oh-wuh for a while. My FIL is from Ireland. It would be nice if they can pronounce it, nit a 100% must, but I can’t use too many Dutch names like Cato en Juul.

Vetoed by spouse: Sylvie, Celeste, Lydia, Vesper
Vetoed by me: Emily, Tess, Tessa

We kinda both like: Lora/Lore, Lily (overused), Jula (pronounces as Yula here), Esmee (would have been Owens name if he was a girl.

Thanks for helping🫶🏼

Edit: we will probably stick with Lore or go for Lena. Thanks for all the help 🩷

Which name do you like best?

I like Sylvie the best, my spouse likes Loren the best. When I was pregnant with my boy, the girl name was Esmee before we knew the gender. I also like Eleanor, it’s classy and has many nicknames. We live in the Netherlands, that’s why we won’t use Lauren. That would be mispronaunced a lot. Big brother is Owen.

Names for a boy

Hi everyone,

Right know I’m pregnant with my second. My sons name is Owen.
We live in the Netherlands, but we need an international, or just easy to pronounce name for a boy. Family lives in Ireland and my Dutch mom has troubles with pronunciations. It took her years to say Shàn (real name is Shaun btw) in stead of Shine

For a girl we probably go with Sylvie. We have this name saved for a very long time.
But boys names are so hard, since my partner only likes Colin. Every time I come up with a name it’s a no. Colin is okay, but I’m not feeling it yet. The feeling might come, since I still have a long way to go.

Boy names I like but are vetoed are: luke/Lucas, Seth, Lewis ❤️, Tobi, Riley and Elliot

I also like Miles, but that might be too difficult for my mother. And when I was pregnant with Owen we had Liam (too populair) and Mason (a litte on the edge of trailer park people in this country) on the topnof our list. They also sound too much like Owen and we grew out of them.

So I need some inspiration 🫶🏼

Update: right now there ar 5 maybes when it will be a boy: Colin, Miles, Robin, Lio and Kai

For a girl it’s almost certain we’ll go with Sylvie
