Just For Giggles

Just For Giggles

$50K for 2 first class seats non-stop to Amman. What sucks though would be not being able to see the plane from the inside.

Majestic

Sorry the picture sucks. But I just started a job in SSF that is right under SFO's flight path. And my first day at work as I was leaving the Emirati A380 Airbus flew over and I've been fucking awestruck ever since. It is massive and the livery on it is gorgeous. There's a daily to Dubai at 4:05 so I pull up flight tracker and observe. And once it hits ~117kts ground speed I go outside and wait for it.

It's is fucking massive but also graceful. For me the eye catcher is the branding under the fuselage. It really pops. Far more so than the pic indicates. I'm fascinated by this plane.

Friend Needs Advice

He met this girl and when they met he thought she was the perfect girl for him. So much so that he told her he loved her.

So now about 6 months into it, and she is bankrupting him. Everything she sees, she wants. He's happy with generic lube from WalMart but she has to have Astroglide Silicon Gel; he is ok with a Moto G phone but she has to have a Samsung. I feel bad because nothing is good enough unless it's out of reach. I told him to dump her and he was going to

But now she tells him that she's having his baby, but he was kind of a dick to her and basically said "I'm happy if that's what you want to hear, but if my love isn't enough for you we have a daughter and she is half the cunt you are, how can it be good enough for two?."

Since he is a close friend I would tell him if knew.

Any advice??

Interviewed the 1st week of April and was told they needed to act fast. Hiring Manager said I would hear back by the following Wednesday. Friday comes and goes, nothing.

Contacted recruiter and he says they received positive feedback. 🫤

Two weeks go by contacted recruiter again and was skeptical of how positive the feedback could have been. He says things were positive and that I still could get the role🤬

Contacted him the 24th and said it was pretty clear I wasn't getting moved forward and that if by some miracle I did, I would take him out to the Biryani place of his choice 1 Friday every month for as long as I am on the contract. 🤓

Monday morning my phone is blowing up and the recruiter is texting me to call him ASAP. Not only did I get hired but a considerable amount over what was originally discussed.

I was out of work 8 months and had applied for 150+ jobs. Made some final rounds but didn't get selected. I was even rejected by Costco for a job at their gas pumps. Was so frustrated I started replying to rejections that weren't from a 'no-reply' email with this:.🖕

My point is not to rah-rah or fish for congratulations because I know what Hell jobseekers are in right now. My point is for everyone in the same boat to not get frustrated and internalize the rejections. Keep at it, you're one day closer to your next role. Also I will not take offense to frustrated job seekers downvoting this as a "FOAD". I have empathy.
