First sinus infection

42m. Needed antibiotics for the first time in my life due to a sinus infection I had for 3 weeks. Drainage down back of throat has gone from thick yellow to thick white after 7 day course of Augmentin. Does the shift from yellow to white typical indicate you’ll be in the clear now and it should resolve? Infection came after a nasty virus.

Invisalign for 8 year old due to overbite/airway obstruction?

My 8 year old snores and is sometimes tired. we have been wondering if he has some airway obstruction. We took him to an orthodontist who recommended Invisalign due to his overbite and anatomy. Is invisalign really a reasonable way to go for this concern? I was alternatively reading about expanders. Also wondering if we should just consult an ENT first. Thanks for any advice.

Antibiotic for lingering sinus infection 3 weeks

42 male. 6'2 190lbs. Non smoker / non drinker. Workout 6 days week, eat clean. I had flu like symptoms for 4-5 days followed by an extremely sore throat and congestion for a week with horrible looking yellow sinus discharge when blowing my nose. NP offered augmentin but knowing most things are viral I decided to ride it out. I'm now on week 3, I have no sinus pressure and nothing comes out when I blow my nose. But I still have lots of yellow mucus draining down the back of my throat when I look in the mirror. It is still causing throat irritation/scratchy throat. Worst part is I believe it's the driving factor behind this linger cough which is keeping me up all night. Would you take the augmentin at this point? Everyday I tell myself "i'll wait until tomorrow" since i'm not in horrible shape. But the last 20-30% of this doesn't seem to be clearing up and I have little kids and a demanding job and it's wearing me thin. Don't want to take antibiotic for no reason though. Thanks!
